The Dummies

Bree looked around the two, confused. "Well I don't know... So... Tell me or I'll take Adrian's blades and hold the two of you against a wall."

Adrian sighed a bit. "Quinton...remember that time when we were about 9? Just before Henry turned into the violent, abusive d*ck we all know him as? Don't you remember that one day when Mom showed us the three or four wine bottles that Thanatos left to our mom just before leaving for the Underworld? Those wine bottles I have are the ones that our dad gave her...I took it upon myself to hide them from Henry...and then when the police arrived to take me to Juvy I asked them to pack up the wine and told them that they were the only thing that we had to remember our mom and dad by...they were hesitant to agree...but thankfully they did.." He said to them.

Bree looked awkwardly at the ground. She had virtually nothing to remember her mother by... As for her father, Apollo... He probably overlooked Bree. She thought bitter thoughts and pursed her lips.

Quinton glanced at Adrian and then scooted closer to Bree noticing her sudden mood change at the details of the story. He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her into a hug before looking up at Adrian. "I'm sorry for forgetting...but...I just..Henry's change is the most dominant memory I had from that time.."

"Because he slammed head and chest first through a coffee table?" Adrian asked.

Quinton's gaze lowered and he frowned a bit. "Yeah...because of that..." He muttered.

Bree shook her head. "No. No. We are not going to talk about this subject and that evil, vile man."

Quinton and Adrian both looked at her and then at each other. "Ok...we'll stop the talk about him..He's gone now so we shouldn't even care for him." He said.

"Yeah, Henry who?" Adrian asked jokingly and then laughed.

Bree scowled. She stood up and stretched, getting ready to run. She clenched her fists and jaw and didn't look at them.

"Bree?" Adrian asked as Quinton stood up and walked over to her.

"What's wrong, Bree? Tell me what's bothering you.." He pleaded to her in a low whisper as he placed a hand, hesitantly on her shoulder.

Bree scowled and moved her shoulder so his hand fell away. "I hate it when you two joke about him. I hate talking about him. I hate him. Just... Ugh."

She started to walk toward the exit.

Quinton walked up in front of Bree and tried to get her to stay, "I'm sorry. Please, Bree..don't leave. Adrian and I will stop the stupid jokes and comments...please just..don't leave." He begged her..not really sure that it was doing any good.

Bree narrowed her eyes. "Fine..." she scowled and went back over to sit down. She grinded her teeth and folded her arms.

Quinton walked back behind Bree and motioned at Adrian to kill the jokes about Henry. When she sat down he sat a little bit away from them both..making a little triangle with how the three of them were sitting.

"So.....either of you meet anyone new? A guy or girl that you like?" Adrian asked.

Bree went a little red. "Uhm... Yeah. There's this guy... He's amazing. He's got the nicest eyes and the softest hair..." she said and smiled at her knees. "I won't tell you who he is, though. You both get so protective... What about you two?"

Adrian smirked a bit when she said she wouldn't tell us who she liked. He could understand why she didn't want to say who...he was as overprotective of her as ever. It wasn't like he couldn't help it...it was just so natural for him to be overprotective of her.

Quinton smirked as well. He slyly winked at her and then turned to Adrian. "Yeah I met someone as well...she's pretty cute and kind. And I think she really likes me....but I don't want to rush it and then have something go wrong." He told Adrian.

Bree smiled a little. "Aw. Adrian? What about you?"

Quinton scooted closer to Bree and joined in on the question. "Yeah, bro...you meet anyone?"

Adrian stiffened up a little and then scratched the back of his head. "Yeah..Uh..no..I haven't really met anyone...mostly..hung out with you two." He said kinda embarrassed

"You said yeah first! Who is she? COme one, Addie! You can tell us," Bree pressed.

Quinton smirked a bit when Adrian gave him a pleading look. "You got her on this..you're on your own." He told is brother.

Adrian sighed a bit and then turned to Bree. "Bree I didn't meet anyone...really I'm not much of the person that meets people...I've been hanging out with you two if anyone." He told her.

Bree raised an eyebrow. "Then why did you say yes first? Hm?"

Adrian rolled his eyes a little bit, "I said yeah at first...but it's wasn't like Yes I met someone it was more a Yeah, no." He said.

Bree shrugged. She got yo her feet and checked her watch. "I better go get out of these clothes. Addie, could you come pick something up as well? I managed to get hold of that thing you wanted. The whatsitcalled."

Quinton raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.

Adrian raised an eyebrow as well but then his eyes widened as he remembered what she had asked him to find. "Sure thing. Thanks for finding it for me." He said as he stood up.

Quinton stood up as well but since he had no plans...he didn't exactly know what he was going to do.

"OK. Let's get going. Quinton, I'll see you later for archery tutoring, right? You said you'd come be my practice student?" Bree said, walking out of the arena.

Quinton shrugged.."I'm gonna go get something to eat and maybe read a book till then." He said and then left.

Adrian popped his back a bit and then left with Bree. Heading back to her bunk to get that bow he had asked her to find.
