BIC: Nisha couldn't help the giggle that fell from her lips at being referred to as 'love.' They must have spent too long in England, if Malev had picked up the lingo. The brunette lightly slapped his shoulder. "I'm aware of that, but we can't tug our stuff around all day long. Well, unless you plan on carrying it, that is." She grinned, eye eyebrow raising playfully.

Malev still smiled every time he heard Nisha giggle. He kight have found it annoying before, back when he was... apathetic... but now it was one of his fsvorite things to hear. He made a face of mock pain when Nisha hit his arm, and laughed a bit. "No, I supoose I would not like to carry this stuff around all day." He decided, and felt a bit of a rush as he started walking uo, right past the tree. Back to camp. Back to Jane? He certainly hoped so.

Nisha's eyes softened and she stepped forwards, tugging lightly on his hand. "We'll only stay for a minute. Then we can look around?" The statement was phrased as a question - demanding though she had a tendency to be, she couldn't just order him around. If he wanted to rest in the cabins or, gods forbid, stop and eat (after so many years of blood and liquid, solid foods made her sick to her stomach. She mostly survived on protein shakes and smoothies), but they could, if he wanted to. As long as they were together.

Kalev nodded. "That sounds like a good idea. " He said, and then frowned a little, looking at Nisha. "I want to find Jane." He confessed, and moved closer to his fiancé. He was feeling all of that unresolved... stuff. Poor Jane. Who would she be now? Would she still be marriage-obsessed? He had no idea. But he had to figure out. He had to know if they had made her a different person; if she was still happy.

Nisha visibly flinched, recoiling from the words. Guilt filled every ounce of her. She'd been Jane's makeshift mother and abandoned her after her own mother died. What if Jane had run away? Been eaten by monsters? What if she hated them, or even worse forgave them. Nisha didn't deserve forgiveness, running away for a year because she needed time to adapt. They should have taken her with them, done something- how could she face the girl she left behind?

Malev saw Nisha's reactions and put down the stuff he was carrying. He went over to Nisha and wrapped his arms around her. "We'll find her and make up for anything we did, or through inaction, did not do." He said softly. He really hoped it was true. He wasn't completely confident it would happen, but he kept a straight face, appearing as sure as he could. He wasn't even positive that Jane could forgive them. He felt it was likely she would hate them...

"Malev-" Her voice cracked and she swallowed, annoyed at her lack of composure. "Mal," She repeated, "What if she hates us? Or, what if she's... what if she's dead." She whispered, squeezing her eyes shut and tangling her fingers in her lover's shirt. "She's still a demigod, minor god parent or not, and she could've tried finding us and gotten devoured." It hurt to even think about.

"Shh shh shh, Nisha. It's going to be okay. She might have been little, but she was not stupid or weak. She would know better, or she would have survived. I'm sure she's fine." He comforted her, trying, at the same time, to comfort himself. He pulled Nisha closer to him, hugging her tight. Jane would be in the same cabin as them, right? They would just walkdown there and see her there, sitting on her bunk with a scrapbook full of wedding stuff, magazines she'd cut up to pair people up and design their perfect day... the thought of it actually brought a little tear to his eye. Not because of the intrinsic sadness of the act, but the pure innocence. After what she'd been through- what they'd lead her through- could she ever be that innocent again?

Nisha leaned into him, her cheek pressed against his chest and she forced herself to relax. It would be okay. Visions of Jane planning pretend weddings or attempting to play matchmaker with embarassed and annoyed campers danced alongside those of the younger girl's body broken and mangled. One or the other, her mind whispered. She's either dead or alive. One or the other.

OOC: Technically she's both dead and alive until they've found proof of one or the other. Schrödinger's Jane.

BIC: Malev held onto Nisha for a while longer, trying to think on only the positive things. Finding Jane alive and happy and not hating them. Finding her. Her forgiving them. Nisha and him being together, back at camp. But it was difficult and the most comforting thought was that he was with Nisha. She would be by his side, no matter what was about to happen.

Nisha sighed again before steeling up her courage and stepping out of the embrace, still holding Malev's head. She tugged lightly, inclining her head towards the tree with a weak smile on her lips. "Come on, might as well go ahead and get it over with." She commented with a fake bravado.

Malev gave Nisha a comforting smile. He had a feeling they were both now trying to show confidence they didn't have. That would be alright, as long as Jane was okay. He gave Nisha a quick little kiss on the cheek before removing hinself from the embrace. "Right. On to camp, and to Jane." He said, and picked up his things. He took the step over the invisible barrier and felt, simultaneously, a feeling of warmth and dread.
