i continue spinning the mold. i watch as the spiral took it shape starting from the very middle and gradually expanding

i take out the glob of molten metal and lay it on the shield. "anything you want on it?" i ask anna

Anna: i shrug "i dont care" i look at skyler "you want anything on it" she shook her head no "then i dont mind whats on it"

"nice job with that one. how many heads did it have?" i ask as i start carving into the outer layering the body of a Hydra

i whistle in amazement. "i bet that was a tough battle" i say as i start carving in the eight heads, snapping everywhere

Anna: i smirk. i lift up m shirt and show him the scar on my hip "took me an hour to defeat it"

"wow." i say as i finish the carving. i look at her scar before i lift up the shield and flip it over. i carefully balance it on the mold and get leather straps from the rack.

"thanks" i say as i take four rivets and a hammer. i place a leather strap near the middle of the left side. i put a rivet on the top half of the strap and ask, "anna, can i get a little fire over here?"

i hold the rivet down with my thumb. "right where my thumb is. and dont worry about burning me" i say to her

i move my thumb for a second and hit the rivet with the hammer. "now i need the same thing for teh other three" i say as i make enough room for someone's arm to fit through. i place the other rivet at the bottom and place my thumb over it for the fire

i hammer the other rivets and lift the shield once more. i balance it from the middle on my finger and let go. "a nearly perfect shield" i say

"okay" i say as i pick up a sharpening stone. "i'm going to need a constant heat over the edge" i say as i lay the shield on the mold once more
