| I just... stood there. Why was I feeling so upset? Tearful, almost. Maybe it was because I usually got along better with Wolf than the others... no, more than that. If we had been closer to the same age, I probably would have had a crush on him. But as it was, there really wasn't anything to do at this point.

I look over and see the last of him burn. I walk away in tears, not standing to be here any longer. "Bye... David," I choke. | |

| I took Jane's Mom's body from the stretcher and put her on the pyre. I covered her with a pink shroud that was hanging in the shroud closet. I picked up a match from the match pack sitting on the ground.

| I smoothed Jane's hair back, watching the fire without remorse. I didn't really get the point of loving mortals... they were to breakable :/ Unlike demigods and vampires.
