Samuel [sam] Windsor
But it was not your fault but mine, and it was your heart on the line. I really messed it up this time, didn't I my dear?

    Age:
Samuel is 18 years old, to turn 19 on November 6th, 2013.
    Years at Camp:
Samuel is just arriving at camp now, in January 2013.

    God Parent:
Samuel is the son of Aphrodite.

    Mortal Family:
Samuel's father was Clarence Windsor, the dictator of Il Mondo Perfetto (The Perfect World), the island that he used to house his rebel movement. His father had a wife on Il Mondo Perfetto, who wasn't actually Samuel's real mother but believed herself to be.

    Place of Birth:
Samuel was given to his father by Aphrodite as his father was forming his rebel movement out of Egypt, and he grew up on Il Mondo Perfetto.

    Pets:
While Samuel kept a few animals back on Il Mondo Perfetto, he brought none with him to America.

    Physical Appearance:
Being a son of Aphrodite, Samuel is naturally very attractive. With his endearing brown eyes and lustrous brown hair and the face of a male model, it was awfully difficult for anyone to say no to him as a child. As he grew up he grew to look mature, professional, and absolutely gorgeous. 6'4", Samuel has olive, tanned skin and a flat stomach. He's relatively thin and not particularly strong, physically. He always dressed preppy when on Il Mondo Perfetto, with cropped blazers, button-up shirts and dockers. He continues to do so, but he isn't as formal as before.

    Personality:
Being raised by a westernized father of European origin, Samuel is very familiar with the behavior of Europeans and Americans, so he is not unusual, though his personality has been affected profoundly by the environment in which he was raised on Il Mondo Perfetto. Being the son of its rich dictator, Samuel was treated as a prince for nearly his whole life. He was raised in the lap of luxury, waited upon by servants, and as this was all he knew he didn't realize that this slavery may be wrong until he reached adolescence. Still, he was spoiled by his father, and it took its toll. Samuel is used to having everything go his way and having everything he needs to survive, as well as relying on others to progress. He can be very needy at times, and he often demands to receive something out of habit. He is used to being waited upon and after the fall of his father's dictatorship he is confused, living in America. He is very impulsive and easily swayed by others, but he has a good heart overall, capable of loving others deeply and caring for what he is doing. He has good self-taught morals, even if they weren't directly instilled in him from his father. He tends to make stupid mistakes, though, and his judgment isn't good. When he becomes angry or experiences any sort of strong emotion, he often loses his head and does things he wouldn't usually. This can be bad.

    Flaws/Fatal Flaw:
Samuel's fatal flaw is his reliance on his emotions. His emotions basically control him, and as they are so easily influenced, Samuel's decisions are often made in the spur of the moment, depending on his mood or emotion. He relies on his emotions too deeply, and they often hinder his judgment.

Samuel is very defensive. He does not like to be called wrong, even if he knows that he is wrong. He is very reliant on others at times since he lacks survival skills that other demigods may have obtained due to the fact that he has been catered to for most of his life. His moral compass is not always reliable due to his father's fogged morals. Also, after the situation that went on with his ex-fiancee, Veronica, Samuel feels an immense amount of guilt regarding what occurred in the past. When he falls in love with someone, he becomes very attached, and he cannot seem to get over Veronica even though he doesn't know where she is and she must despise him.

    Weapon:
Samuel's weapon is one he received from his father when he was young, it was a magical celestial bronze longsword that transforms into a simple ring. It is encrusted with all different gemstones at its hilt.

    Powers:
Since he has only just recently discovered his godly heritage, Sam's powers have not fully developed yet. He has always had them and tended to use them unknowingly.

Firstly, Samuel has been granted the gift of charmspeak. This power manifests itself in his voice when he is especially emotional or wants something particularly badly, and he has used it more than he knows. It doesn't drain him much, but it doesn't work on everybody, especially people who are experiencing strong emotions or those who know he is using it. He may learn to control it better in the future, but at the moment he has no idea how to control his charmspeak.

The second power Samuel possesses is a power of attraction. Samuel basically radiates his aura, and whenever he walks into the room people tend to stare at him because of his attraction. People are more apt to give him what he wants because he is so charismatic and makes people turn to him. The attraction is mild and will wear off slowly within the first moments that he meets a person, unless they know him already in which case it will be less effective. He may learn to channel this attraction in the future but right now he is not even aware that he has this ability.

    Talents/Skills:
In his time at Il Mondo Perfetto, Samuel was taught many different skills at which he excelled. Most importantly, Samuel was taught swordplay and trained by former warriors to fight and kill if necessary. For this reason, he is quite proficient at formal swordplay. Also, Samuel is pretty well-read in academic subjects and is excellent at writing, despite his mild dyslexia. He knows a few languages such as Italian, French and Latin. He is also naturally charismatic and good with people.

    History:

(*tw:rape sensitive content in the starred paragraphs. definitely nothing really graphic or inappropriate but it could be a trigger)*)

Samuel was born and received by Clarence Windsor, his father, just as he was beginning to establish his rebel movement. He was raised on Il Mondo Perfetto, an island off the coast of Africa which served as the base for his father's movement and dictatorship. He grew up in the lap of luxury, basically a prince, served by others and instilled with his father's own thoughts as he grew and learned. He was much different from Clarence, though, in that he was so much more susceptible to his emotions and love. He was raised and his childhood was relatively uneventful. Basically, he was spoiled while his father worked and took hostages captive and worked to rebel. He knew little about his father's business, even though his father tried to teach him about his politics little by little as he grew.

Eventually, as Samuel grew older, his father began to prepare him to take his place if anything were to happen to him. He was trained in swordplay and received daily lessons about governance and other, more normal subjects, such as history and mathematics. His life progressed with little interruption until Veronica was assigned a position as a servant for his family. It was at this moment in his life when a lot changed. It took a bit, at first, but as she was assigned jobs to help and teach Samuel, they began to speak. Not about much, usually, just the weather, but after a few months they became more comfortable; Samuel would joke with her and make her smile. They would chat lightly, not about much of substance, before suddenly, one day, Clarence Windsor just died. Passed away in his sleep from some mysterious ailment. Distraught, the high officials pushed Samuel into a seat of power, they and his "mother" deciding that he ought to be married off to someone. After pursuing many options, a lightbulb went off over his head. Veronica. She would be perfect, if he could get his mother and the officials to agree... and he did, with a bit of persuasion. And so he was betrothed to Veronica Langley, a beautiful captive of his father who his mother took a liking too.

At this point, Samuel, devastated by his father's death and stressed at the burden that he was taking on as the head of this situation, sought solace in Veronica. She was hesitant to open up to him, at first, but after a few weeks their friendship progressed. He opened up to her about his conflict, and she couldn't help but feel sorry for him. She realized that she genuinely liked him. It took a while, but she began talking to him. She spoke to him about what happened to her, and how she got to the island in the first place, and he was horrified. He believed her wholeheartedly and he promised her that he'd try and fix the situation, to take down the operation from the inside out, even if it meant going against his father's dying wishes.

*He didn't keep his promise. Things got difficult. Every day, Samuel was coerced into doing things he didn't want to do, forced to sit through discussions about attacking innocent people and taking in more captives, preparing to overthrow the Egyptian government. He was sick. Sick and tired of it. He grew more distant from Veronica, even though he still cared about her. But he was still sick and frustrated and stressed and he couldn't deal with it anymore, and one night, when he went to an event with a few of the high officials, he drank. A lot. Enough for his emotions to be voided. He was so lost in his stupor and his anger at the world that when he came back home and found Veronica, he lost control. She kissed him hello and it all went downhill. He was angry and frustrated and he loved her and he needed to get his emotion out and before he even knew what he was doing he'd taken advantage of her, even against her struggles. *

The next morning, when he woke up to find her hysterical and dead to the world, he had no idea what had happened. Until it returned to him, piece by piece, and he realized what he'd done. She claimed to be sick, and his mother believed her, and he wasn't allowed to see her for a couple days.

When he finally was allowed to see her, he knew that he'd down irreparable damage. She was broken. He could see it, but he didn't care. He needed her. He begged her to take him back, to forgive him, and she agreed, but she was broken. He'd broken her. He didn't really get it, not at first.

It was when she disappeared the next morning that he finally understood the scope of the situation. He'd taken advantage of her. He was awful. He didn't care. He loved her. He cared. He loved her. He was awful.

Samuel had nightmares for months, remembering that night, how he'd driven her away. The guilt ate at him. He wanted her back. He was awful. He waned her back. He loved her.

He wasn't in his right mind, not anymore. The high officials tried to repair things, but they were infiltrated by the Egyptian government. Il Mondo Perfetto was taken down, and Samuel managed to escape on a dinghy. Alone. Somehow he made it back to the coast and claimed to be a refugee, someone who was taken hostage, and by some miracle they took his word for it. He was sent back on a plane to America after a month of two of ineffective counseling, and in America he began to be attacked by what seemed to be supernatural creatures. He was so confused until he ran into a satyr, who told him about a camp up north on Long Island, New York, where he could seek refuge. He made it there. He arrived. And now he is here, just arriving at Camp Half Blood in January of 2012, with no idea what a demigod even is.

    Notes:
    Sam's playby is Francisco Lachowski.

I feel like a jerk right now...It's about damn time. Jk Very Happy. Anyhow, I love the entire application so much that I read the entire bio a couple times and tried to find all possible errors. None were found besides a typo on the date he is arriving in Camp. Now, this is good, so here we go.
