| Vincent: - Spoiler:
Character Name: Vincent Schmidt Gender: Male Age: 16 and a half Description: Vince's hair is a muddy brown mop that always looks like someone threw a ferret on top of his head. His eyes are brown, speckled with orange, red, and gold. Vince is about 6 feet, give or take. He's pretty lean, but has a durable body from enduring beatings from his father. He is missing his left arm (has a metal prosthetic arm) and his right leg (this is also a prosthetic). (Both are fully mechanical). He has burnt skin all over the left side of his face, and has a scar under his right eye that runs down his face till it touches his chin. Vince has scars all over his body. He normally wears flame-proof gloves and T-shirts, paired with brown fleece jackets and khaki pants. When he isn't wearing his normal get-up, he's wearing long-sleeved shirts and no gloves, and jeans. God and mortal parent: Vesta and Westin Schmidt. Powers**: He has control over fire, in general. Specifically? He can make walls of fire, burn down houses, provide light, etc. If he makes a wall of fire, let's say... an eighth of a mile long, it drains up half of his energy. He can also create towers of fire that have a diameter of a 2 feet, and the temperature at the core is about.. oh let's say 120 degrees max. One will pretty much exhaust him completely. Creating light barely drains his energy. Vince can keep a light burning for 2 hours before he starts getting nauseated. He's mildly heat resistant, and can stand 100 degrees with a thermal long-sleeved shirt on. He cannot create flame from the missing arm and leg, but can transfer fire to there, as they are not flesh. Flaws: He's pretty shy and timid around strangers, although he attempts to hide this. He's not fireproof while using his powers either, so he has to wear fireproof clothing that looks like normal clothing. Vince is also hesitant to fight or use his powers, and will never strike first. He is a bit unrestrained when it comes to anger. Vince is weak to coldness. He's also an accomplished pyromaniac. Pets: None. Weapon: An Imperial Gold Falchion, and a standard Bow. Talents/Skills: Fire eating, Shows that involve fire, cooking, making a fire and keeping it up, making pottery and glass, smithing. RP Example*: Vince woke up, feeling groggy and sick. He tried pushing himself up, but failed. He looked over at his arm and saw it was missing. Panicking, he tried to recall what had happened. He remembered vaguely being cut apart by his father... and then... he... set fire to the house? It was all blurry and confusing. He looked around. A hospital. Clean sheets, white beds and cloths... the everlasting smell of medicine and anti-septic... he thought he would never see this place again. The doctor walked in, looking calm, along with a man with a brownish beard and a mud stained jacket. "I understand you may be wondering why you're here. Well, as you may have discovered, you're missing some limbs. Now, according to this man, he rescued you from a burning building, and is willing to pay for prosthetics, along with taking you in as a foster parent. What do you say lad?" the doctor said calmly, and clasped his hands. Vince thought for a moment, and then nodded at the offer. Biography*: Vincent lived up in the mountains with his father, a rather nice man. One day, his dad remarried, and married a cruel person. Vince's stepmom forced his dad to beat him. Eventually, Westin became cruel as well. When Vince was disobedient, failed to do something, or had bad grades, they would beat him horribly. On the night of his 13th birthday, his parents eventually decided to get rid of Vince, and started cutting off his limbs. Bleeding to death, Vince, as a last ditch attempt, accidentally set fire to the house and his parents. Vince was rescued by a passing by lumber-jack, and was taken to the hospital. He started getting expelled from various schools because of setting fire to a variety of things with his new found powers. After living at the lumber jack's house for a year, he was taken to the Wolf House by a passing by wolf. After training for a year, he was sent off to Camp Jupiter. Along the way, he met several complications, and ended up 6 months late. Notes:
Jack: - Spoiler:
Character Name: Jack ________ (He doesn't remember his last name.) Gender: M Age: 17 Description : He has a dull grayish hair, with somewhat light streaks of white in it. Jack has bright blue eyes, and is about 5' 8. He's relatively pale compared to other people, but he has well built muscles. Not flex and rip your shirt sort of muscle though. More subtle. He's pretty friendly, although sometimes, he can be a bit... ah... insensitive. He almost always listens and thinks before saying anything. God and mortal parent: Boreas and ________ _________ (does not remember his mother's name either.) Powers**: Resistant to cold. At 30 Degrees Farenheight, it starts feeling chilly for him. 15 Degrees, he needs a long sleeved shirt. 0 Degrees, he needs a jacket, a long-sleeved shirt, and an undershirt (Passive.) He can manipulate wind up to 50 MPH. He can only sustain these winds for a minute and 15 seconds. He can also create hail the size of golf balls in a 5 yard by 5yard area and maintain it for about half a minute. He has power over ice as well. Making an ice cage around someone takes up about 1/5th of his energy. Making small little ice sculptures takes up about 1/30th of his power. Flaws: He is an amnesiac (more in bio.) as well as being diagnosed with Melancholic depression. Jack is also socially awkward. He can tune out of conversations some times. Pets: None. Weapon: His weapon is a jagged celestial bronze sword with a silver hilt, and some aquamarine embedded in the pommel. This sword can be transformed into a simple silver ring with an aquamarine embedded into it. Keeps a bow handy at all times. Talents/Skills: Hunting, fishing, swimming, habitat finding, and most other things that have to do with the outdoors. Moderately talented at guitar. RP Example*: Jack sighs as he watches the cars go by noisily from the rooftop. He missed the wild, the fresh smell of pine, and the voice of the birds. As Jack looked out over the city, he decided to experiment with his powers. He had only discovered them recently, but they were quite effective. Hail started raining over the area he focused on. Jack smiles as he climbs down from the roof and into his bedroom. He flops down on his bed and goes to sleep. Biography*: Jack was a snobby, rich, greedy prick up until his 13th birthday. That was when the plane crash happened. This was caused by 'anonymous' winds. Jack ended up in the middle of the Canadian wilderness, alone, and having no memories of his past. He found that he had the ring with him, along with a hatchet. He lived there, learning the ways of the wilderness, and living in solace, alone. One day, he was found by a passing by lumberjack when Jack was 16. Jack was driven to a foster home, and taken care of. He caught up very quickly in education, and was eventually found by a satyr after a year. He was then taken to camp. Notes:
Ian: - Spoiler:
Character Name: Ian Clintwood Gender: Male Age: 15 Description: Ian has dark brown hair, reddish-brown eyes, is about 5’11” in height, and looks like a string bean at a glance, but is actually stronger than he looks. Usually Calm and controlled, but when you get him irritated or angry… you don’t want to mess with him. He has tattoos (not really tattoos… more like hourglass shaped scars) on both of his hands (not his palms) and across his left cheek. God and mortal parent: Eris (goddess of discord and strife), and Phil "Cheese Steak" Clintwood Powers**: Influencing people (monsters, demigods, mortals, etc.) to cause disharmony among their ranks. The bigger the disharmony, the bigger the crowd; the more energy it will take. At a minimum of 3 people, it would take up about a 1/35th of his energy (provided that he’s well rested). Meaning that with 3 people, and a small disharmony between them, he can use his powers about 35 times, give or take. To cause mass pandemonium among a huge crowd of 100 people, he would pretty much use up all of his energy. He'd be very tired, near passing out, but still able to fight. (all of this is per day) Flaws: He is occasionally over-possessive, and he occasionally talks to himself. When he does talk, he often says cryptic things. He’s deathly scared of speed boats and gets sea-sick easily. Is also afraid of obese people/becoming obese. Pets: None Weapon: A pair of push-daggers, along with a Katzbalger (it's all CB, what do you expect?) Talents/Skills: Working with puppets, ventriloquism, CQC fighting, running, jumping, and pick pocketing. RP Example*: I lay back and read a book in my dad’s sagging armchair right in front of the television. It was life when my dad wasn’t around. Suddenly, I hear a car that seemed to squeak a lot outside of my house. I swore and look up. My dad was home, and I was going to get caught red-handed reading the book. I quickly shove the book under the couch as my dad yells out, “GET OUT HERE YA RUNT AND HELP ME OUT OF THIS GODD*MNED TRUCK!” I answer, “Yes father.” And run out to help him out. As I get ready to go outside, I take a deep breath. I then walk outside and pull on my dad’s hand to lift him out of the truck. Biography*: Ian grew up in Greenland, but was taught English by his dad. When Ian was around 3 or 4 years old, his father, Phil, was a very nice thin man. Then, when Ian was 5, his dad was laid off, and Phil went into a depression. Ian’s dad became crueler and crueler, and became more obese. Ian was treated like a slave, being ordered around his own house. At one point, his dad got so morbidly obese, that he had to be wheeled around in a truck. When Ian was 6, his dad died of being so FAT, so he was put into an orphanage. Ian grew bored of this orphanage quickly, and ran away from it. He was recruited into a gang, where he was taught to pick-pocket and steal, along with killing. One day while wandering the streets, he encountered a street performer performing a puppet theater. Touched by the old man, he asks the man if he could learn the art of ventriloquism and pupeteering. The old man agrees and after a couple of months, Ian learns all he needs to know. When he started entertaining the littler kids in the gang, the leader immediately promoted him to his left hand man. When Ian was about 10, his gang was tortured and slaughtered. Ian himself was also tortured and went into a coma. A year later, he woke up in a rich man’s house, finding that he had healed. Ian found that he was on a remote island in the Caribbean. He soon met the owner of the island mansion, and asked Ian if he wanted to stay and get an education. Ian said yes, so for the next two years, he spent learning music, gaining some muscle, learning math, science, and all the stuff you learn at school. One day, while he was playing in a symphony that his ‘stepfather’ owned, all of a sudden, everyone’s instruments went out of tune, and everybody started playing the wrong notes. Confused, Ian looked above his head, and saw the glowing symbol, panicked and ran. He stole a boat, and started to run away when he was engulfed by a wave. When he woke up, he was off the coast of Florida. After getting taken to an orphanage and actually getting an education, he learns about CHB from an eccentric satyr. He is taken to Camp after these events. Notes: Fluent in Greenlandic, Dutch, and English.
Xavier: - Spoiler:
Character Name: Xavier Templesmith Gender: M Age: 15 Description: Dark Bluish hair that almost looks black, Golden Irises (I dunno, it seemed fitting), has a lean body, but is strong. 5’8” in height. Wears a dark jacket and a faded blue T-Shirt, along with faded blue jeans. Psychologically… he doesn’t trust anyone he doesn’t know until he gets to know them, and he does have flashbacks… God and mortal parent: Hypnos and Mary Templesmith . Stepdad: Ronald Jackson Powers: Making people drowsy. On a massive scale, such as… 15 people, this effect will only last a minute, let’s say. On a single person, the more he concentrates on making the specific person sleepy, he will make them sleepier and the effects of drowsiness will be stronger, but the longer he concentrates, he will also be more tired. Flaws: Not very trusting; has flashbacks at random times, Automantonophobia (fear of statues, dolls, etc.), Clinophobia (fear of going to bed… ironic much?). He rarely sleeps, and when he does, he has nightmares. Pets: None. Well… if you count the mouse living in his jacket pocket, then yes. Weapon: A Celestial Bronze Kilij (3 foot long, single-edged sword. Curved.), and a CB switchblade (you should know what that is) Talents/Skills: Combat in general, Cooking, Fishing, Hunting, and Climbing. RP Example*: I walk around the forest, and breathe in deeply. The clean, crisp air lightened my heart. All in all, life was good for now. Although the screams of my mother plagued my dreams, I felt better than I did when I was in the hospital. I frown at the memories of my step-dad, but I quickly push them aside and try to locate the cave that is mentioned in the letter. After searching for a while, I find the weapon stash and look inside. I find a couple weapon racks full of CB weapons. I walk in and take a look around. The first thing that catches my eye is a switch-blade. I smile as I flick it back and forth. I pocket it, and try to find a bigger weapon. The sword that catches my eye is the Kilij. My step-dad talked about it… a Turkish sword. I pick it up and weigh it in my hands. Perfect. I smile, and strap the scabbard onto my belt. I leave quickly because the sun was starting to go down. Biography*: Xavier lived with his step-dad ever since he was born. His mother became hysterical when Xavier’s father left her, and she tried remarrying. The marriage didn’t work well, and his step-dad became a drunkard after the divorce. Soon after, he was laid off, and he turned to fighting to gain money. When Xavier started to grow up, his father starts to teach Xavier how to fight, as well as take him fishing, hunting, and rock climbing. When Xavier is 10, his step-father dies. He is forced to move in with his mom, who blames all her problems on him. After 3 days, Xavier goes goofy, and kills his mother in a fury. He snaps out of his rage when he hears the sirens wailing in the distance. Xavier lives in a mental hospital for 3 years, and is released from the mental hospital when he is declared ‘not responsible’ for his actions at the time. After he is released, Xavier gets a letter from his step-dad from his step-dad’s friend. He learns that his step-dad is a satyr from this letter, that there was a stash of CB weapons in the woods they went hunting in, that he was a son of Hypnos, and that he should go to CHB. After he grabs some weapons, he lives on the streets for another 2 years before walking to CHB. Notes: Addicted to Coffee and Life Saver mints
