I bite my lip as the pain intensifies. I hold onto Eden's hand and look forward as she cleans my wound.

"Sorry..." I say, feeling slightly guilty. The wound begins to look a lot better and I wrap it with gauze and bandage it. "There, that should be alright." I get up to wash my hands and then come back, sitting next to him. "Why was that guy so intent on killing you?" I ask him quietly.

I groan and say "I don't know. I just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time I guess." I eat the ambrosia.

I secretly berate myself for not telling her about the raid on the lair of the giants. "Yeah...I guess that I am just a magnet for trouble....except for you that is."

I smirk slightly. "You pretty much have that right." At least if I was at home he would be one. Stupid mortal parents. I kiss his cheek. "Magnet for trouble... too bad."

I smile slightly and then say "At least i have always been able to get out of the trouble......thank you for the help by the way."

I laugh hollowly and say "It still hurts but not too bad. I am glad that I am with you." I say and kiss her lightly on the cheek.

"Good," I chuckle slightly, but can't help but feel like something is off, sort of about the whole conversation.

I notice her look at me and feel regret for not telling her the truth about everything. I look away as my mind rushes and I start to feel light-headed almost as if I am feeling guilty but that is absurd. I did it to protect Eden. She meant the world to me. I couldn't let her end up like my sister and girlfriend from my home town.

I turn back to Eden and kiss her softly. "I am sorry. i was just remembering my sister and how I couldn't save her."

"Oh, I'm sorry." I take hold of one of his hands again. "What happened?" I ask before realizing I was being intrusive.

I sigh and then say "I was living out in the garage and had just gone out to the carport and was shooting arrows when I heard a bellow. I ran inside but it was too late."

I sit and think for a moment before saying anything. "I probably shouldn't have asked about that, I'm sorry," I say guiltily, looking down.
