| The hellhounds glared right back at the demigod and let out a new chorus of "GRRRR"'s.
I wished, not for the first time in my life, that I'd had the patience to learn to use some kind of effective weapon. Like a sword or bow or something. But no, I just had magic. So I made one hellhound (the Mommy one) spontaneously combust, then leaned against the side of a building because I was dizzy.
Rawr? What was that burning smell? Oh, it was the Mommy Hellhound. She started flailing around, much to the Daddy doggy's alarm. | |

| The Daddy one ducked, sort of. The spear kind of went through his ear, which promptly tore off. Ew. Mommy Hellhound managed to extinguish the fire, then grabbed a random mortal in her jaws, and tossed the screaming businessman at the boy half-blood.
I made the same hellhound burst into flames again. It seemed to be the smarter of the two monsters. | |

The Daddy Hellhound got shot in the eyes a few times, and poofed into monster dust. The Mommy one snarled and, still in flames, charged straight towards her adversaries in the hope that they would be squashed/caught on fire.
I was too dizzy after that to do another spell right away... stupid elements... | |
