Secret Cove at Madison Square.

Alex ran into Madison Square with Carina not far behind. He started walking around the Garden till finally he saw a secret cove far off from the main area. "There it is."He said to her and then walked over to it.

Carina smiled and still followed Alex. Her breath was ragged and non existent. "This is so cool!" She squealed.

"It get's better. If I remember there is a tunnel somewhere around here."Alex exclaimed. He was sure that there was a tunnel that led to a big room under Madison Square. But he didnt know for sure.

"If I'm remebering right, there is a tree around this area with a hollowed out hole in the trunk. And it leads down to the tunnel which leads to a big beautiful cavern."Alex said as he looked around for the tree.

Carina kind of found it odd that there would be a tunnel in a tree, especially in a 'garden' like this, but she loved the idea. It was like Peter Pan!

Alex continued searching until finally he saw the tree. "Here it is!"He called out to her and then started to go down, but he waited for her to see him before going all the way down.

Carina glanced down the tree, and stepped down, following Alex. This was just too cool!

ALex kept moving till he hit solid ground. "Follow me."He called up and then moved foreward down the dark cave. He continued moving till he finally saw a light. "It's just up ahead."He called behind to her and then made his to the a large cavern with crystalike-rock spears all around.

Carina entered the cavern, gasping. "This... This has been underneath Madison Square?" She ran around, arms out to the sides like a bird. She laughed and finished spinning on one foot. "THIS IS AMAZING!!"

"Yeah it is."Alex agreed with a smile. He looked around and marveled at how unchanged the place had been. After all Alex hasn't been here for nearly 3 years. Suddenly he hears someone call out a question to the two of them.

"What are you two doing down here?"Asked a gaurd. No one was suppose to know about the cavern so then gaurd was confused at how these two children had found it.

Carina saw the guard and squeaked. "Oh, um, well, shouldn't we be asking you the same thing?" She asked, standing a bit taller.

"No. You shouldn't be asking me the same thing because no one is supposed to be down here. I'm the gaurd. Now tell me what you are doing down here."The gaurd said to the little girl.

"How do you even know we are really down here. You could be dreaming."Alex said to the guy smirking a bit. "Close your eyes and we wont be here."Alex added and then whispered to Carina,"Be ready to run."

"Yes now close your eyes, count to 5, and we will be gone."Alex said putting on a convincing show.

"Hmm."The gaurd said realizing how tired he has been the past few days. Mybe he was dreaming he thought. The gaurd closed his eyes and counted. "1, 2...."

"Go now into the cavern."Alex whispered and then vanished. Gods how he wished that he could shadow travel more than just himself.

Carina ran more than she had in the past month (she was becoming so domesticated), she sprinted back up the tree, and tried her best to reach the gates before dropping to her knees of exhaustion. She panted and grinned. This is what she loved to do. She loved to do things she shouldn't and she loved the adrenaline rush she got from running from whoever was chasing her, and always escaping. It was something a bit weird to her mortal friends, some of them had even gone to Juvie because of her, but it wasn't her fault, they chose to come along, they were the ones who ruined those adventures for her. Carina blinked. Okay, back to the present.

"Well I said into the cavern but this works too."Alex said as he appeared next to her and as they ran he laughed the whole time. "Gods this is just so fun."Alex laughed as they ran through the gate and onto the streets of New York. Alex continued running until he was sure they were in the clear. "Ok I think we're good now Carina." Alex said through deep breaths.

Carina nodded and caught her breath. She ran her fingers through her hair, making sure it still looked decent. "Maybe we could find a hotel," she suggested, "Like, Marriot or something. It's not that expensive and it's really nice." Carina smirked. "Plus, you look like you need a bit of real rest. And video games. And room service."

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea."Alex said after he regained his breath. He laughed a bit at how dumb the guard was for actually listening to them and then he started walking. "Well are you to lead the way or shall I?" Alex asked Carina

Carina smirked again. "I will," she said, grabbing Alex's hand, "It's not too far from here, couple of blocks. Don't get scared, and trust me." She smiled and stared running through a busy street.

"We wouldn't be together if I didn't trust you now would we."Alex said smirking a bit. He walked next her and gave her a light kiss on the cheek.

Carina grinned and her ears turned red. She stopped in the middle of two lanes, and got many horns honked at them. She smiled and ran through the next lane, and the next, onto the sidewalk. "Come on! Crosswalks are too boring!"

Carina rolled her eyes, smiling. She walked along the sidewalk for a while, and stopped in front of a tall, cream-coloured building. "Here we are," she said, opening the door and entering.

"Nice place."Alex said looking up at the building. He followed her into the hotel and looked around the lobby. He had no doubts about Carina being able to pay for all of this but he just wondered how hard it would be to convince the people to let them have a room.
