Character Name: Rosalie “Rose” April
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Description: Long straight blond hair the color of wheat, washed-out green eyes, 5’9, and rail thin.
God and mortal parent: God parent: Demeter
Mortal parent: Rodger April
Powers: Has the ability to speed up the growth of plants/summon flowers. She can make any type of flower/plant grow up from just a small plant to normal size 15 times a day. The process of it growing takes about 10 minutes tops, but it depends on the size. (Bigger size-longer time. Smaller size-little time) Her limit on plant size is 10 feet tall, and that would make her extremely tired, and she can’t make small flowers 10 feet tall. She would make wheat, perhaps, 10 feet tall. She gets weakened or tired depending on how big or fast she wants to grow the plant. She can summon/teleport flowers (for example, roses, daises, or an ear of wheat-her specialty) but not anything huge (For example, a large tomato plant, or a large watermelon plant). She teleports the plants by just putting one golden drachma with the plant/flower, then prays to Demeter and tells Demeter where she wants the plant to go. (It kinda works like Iris-messaging, I guess.) She can only summon/teleport flowers 10 times a day, and she gets tired depending on the size of the flower she tries to summon/teleport.
Flaws***: Stern, no sense of humor, depressive, unlucky
Pets: A cow named Buddy
Weapon****: A celestial bronze dagger.
Talents/Skills: Good farmer, broad plant/crop knowledge, fast runner, ability to read ancient Greek, focused, determined
RP Example*: Rose skipped down the field full of crops, heading back towards the farmhouse. Today’s day at the fields were done, now she and her father could have a healthy meal of fresh crops. She swung open the door to the farmhouse and stepped inside, kicking off her shoes. Her father was already in the kitchen, probably preparing dinner. She went into the kitchen to help him.
Biography*: Rose’s father, Rodger, was a farmer in downstate Illinois. He was a very determined farmer, and that’s what made Demeter like him. Demeter gave birth to Rose, then left Rodger with no explanation back to Mt.Olympus, even though she didn’t want to abandon her daughter. Demeter often watched over Rose from Mt.Olympus to make sure that she was safe. Demeter was known for being a protective mother, even if she had to do so from far away. Rodger was heartbroken and never got over her. Since she was young, Rosalie took after her mother and father and loved flowers, crops, gardening, and farming. Growing up, Rose lived a basically normal, quiet life on the prairie. When Rose was 13, the small farming town’s school bully morphed into a monster one recess and attacked her. Rosalie fled to her home, and her father knew that it was time for Rose to start spending most summers at camp.
