Luke followed Destery in, relief still coursing through his veins. He was so happy to be rid of the hospital and its sterile scent, and, though he didn't want to admit it, was glad that nothing was seriously wrong with him. He had worried... his father was never in the greatest health, and what if Lukas took after him? He forced his thoughts away from such things now, that there was nothing to worry about, and walked with Destery over to the container that held ice cream and stuff. "What are you getting?" he asked her.

"Um, right, yeah, one scoop of mint chocolate, one of cookies and cream, and one of vanilla, with the Twix on top, please?" Destery said.
The person behind the counter smiled at them. "We have a Valentine's Day promotion, half off to all couples!"

"One scoop of vanilla, with sprinkles," Luke stated. He was simple. Then the person behind the counter made her announcement, and Luke tried to hide the blush. "Uh..." he was about to say they weren't a couple, but then he realized it was half off if they said they were. Hm.

Destery laughed. "Yeah, I guess we're a couple, but just for the discount." She said and winked and the person smiled and gave them the ice cream.

Luke felt relief once again. That might have been awkward. He grinned, and the lady told him the price of the ice cream and he paid her. "Let's go sit down," he suggested, gesturing towards the array of tables and chairs to their left.

Lukas was insanely happy, eating his ice cream after he sat down. It was quiet, but in a comfortable way, and Luke watched Destery, but not creepily. He couldn't help but notice once gain how pretty she was, but then he looked away. He was being stupid, again. She didn't like him, and there was no point bothering. They were friends, and he should be content. Now hopefully they won't meet Ryouga again.

I pick up one of the Twix and break it into little parts then cover each one with ice cream and eat them one by one and smile. "So, we're a couple now?"

"Not really," Lukas stated honestly, blushing slightly. "For the sake of the thing, we were," he chuckled, feeling awkward. "Unless... you wanted to go out with me?" he smiled sheepishly, trying not to make it awkward and be too serious about it.

"I don't know, did you want to go out with me? Cause, I don't know, I think it'd be fun" I said, smiling at him. She did want to go out with him, as she wanted to know what it felt like. She never had many friends growing up, and not many people found her pretty, so she never got asked out or anything.

Luke smiled.. "It'd be fun," she had said. That meant she wanted to go out with him. Was she serious? Because, the last time he checked she had seemed to like Ryouga, that basket-case. Could Destery really like him? "Well," he stated. "If you wanted to go out with me, I'd most certainly be open to it. Unless you didn't, because that's fine too." Gods Luke, where has your resolve gone? He was acting like a fool, and he knew it too. His face flushed slightly. "What I mean is, yes. I'd like to go out with you, if you'd like to take me up on my offer," he grinned sheepishly.

"Of course I'd like to go out with you!" Destery grinned. She was going on an actual date! WITH A REAL BOY!

Lukas grinned. He was so happy, he'd completely forgotten about his visit to the hospital and the days events. "Really?" he asked. "No. Nevermind. Yes. I have to take you out now. Where do you want to go? I mean, we don't have to go today obviously." Luke was freaking out like he was a girl.. he needed to stop. He straightened, leaning back in his seat.
