The Stables

Subject: The Stables 11/30/2011, 6:41 pm

During my wandering around, I entered a place that smelled like horses, and, erm, horse manure. I had always liked horses, even though I had never been around them much. They were just nice animals - and it tickled when they ate food out of your hand. "Do you guys want to visit the horses?" I asked my company of new friends - Dez, Kaden and someone whose name I either forgot or had just never learned.

I followed Rhiannon on a journey of boredomness until she stoped and asked us a question. After a few seconds of pondering, I told her, "Sure. Horses are cool. I guess." I fiddled with my jacket zipper and waited for the my other friends to respond.

I smiled at her, ignoring the others. "Horses sound good." I rocked on my heels, looking at the big animals through the tinted frames of my red sunglasses.

Vic entered the area, so they were heading to the stabled eh? Wonderful choice, Vicis enjoyed horses, he found their company very comforting. "Ah the stables..such a peaceful location..minus the smell of course." He swatted the smell away from his nose, and walked over to one of the horses, watching his steps incase there was nearby manure. He saw a mighty beauty, alittle smaller than the rest, and a dirty blounde in color. He stroked the horses' mane and smiled, looking at its' body features.

"...Is there horse poo all over the floor? I do not want to step in it..." That was the downside of horses: poop. Lots and lots of poop.

Kaden slowly approached a jet black horse. He stared the thing down, and eventually the horse got scared. It started bouncing around and blinking rapidly. "Calm down, gir-" He looked at the horse's under parts, "Boy!" The horse started running around the stables, and I chased after him quickly.

I heard the gallop of a horse's hooves, circling around an enclosed space... and then a big, warm something (it must have been the horse) brushed against me unexpectedly, and I fell over. Fortunately, though, I didn't land in any manure.

Vic chuckled slightly and watched the guy chase the horse around for awhile, it too was quite the beauty. He noticed that it had acidentally knocked over the one girl with the blind fold. He wandered over to her and said to her, "Hey, you okay, looked like quite a fall from where I was." He held a hand out for her to take so Vic could pull her up, but seeing as she had a blind fold on she probably couldn't see it, so he just slid it back in his pocket, "You need any help up, or can you get up by yourself?"

I sill chased the stallion. "GET BACK HERE!"

I knelt down beside Rhiannon, giggling. "Careful. Theres lots of horses." I looked at an auburn one trotting near and a thoughtful expression made its way onto my face.

"... ow." I muttered, quietly embarrassed. Any normal person wouldn't have been run into by a horse... Not even a stampeding horse. Just a regular horse. Gah.

I eventually grabbed the horses neck, and slowed him down. But by then, I was exhausted. Using my jacket sleeve, I wipe the sweat off of my forehead. "I like this one.." Slowly, I return the horse back to its area in the stable. I walk over to Rhiannon. "Are you okay? Sorry..I've..never..uh, really..touched a horse before. And it didn't know the thing was gonna do that! I smirk slightly.

I glared at the stuttering guy before turning to Rhiannon. "It's not like its your fault. That horse was totally trying to eat you." I said seriously. Said horse that had run into her seemed to give me the evil eye. Pffft.

"It is not one of those flesh-eating horses, is it...?" I remembered learning about those in our Greek unit in History last year. Ghastly things. But we should not have Greek monsters in our Roman camp, right?

"I think so... but they were in that whole bit about Hercules, and Hercules is the Roman name..." Ahhhh, HISTORY. Kill me now, please.

"I don't THINK it's Greek." Hm..that WOULD be odd if the horse was Greek. Maybe it was flesh eating. I looked at the stallion for a while, and asked the girls, "Uh..are you gonna take one..or something?"

"Yes." I told him shortly before turning to my friend. "History is confusing. In a suicidal-facepalm way."

Vicis heard the three of them saying that the horses might be Greek. He chuckled alittle, "Well I'm pretty sure none of these horses are Greek at all. I don't know where we get the new ones, besides from breeding of course, but the ones we do buy are not Greek." Vicis had heard little about the Greeks since the two groups were introduced to each other. He had history lessons on them but never knew that they currently still existed. All he knew of their camp, 'Camp Half-Blood' as he recalled, was that they also housed other kids of different mythologies, which ones those were he didn't know. He also knew of the unorganization in their ranks, quite shameful in Vics' opinion, plus he also heard of their murderous psychopaths, which disturbed Vicis quite abit. Regardless he turned his attention away from the Greeks and back to the three people with him, and the horses.

"Eh... whatever. It did not actually eat me. But, um... can someone, er, help me up?" I reached a hand up a bit, but not too far. I did not want to accidentally hit someone in the face if they were leaning over or something.

"I'll help yeah up, don't worry." Vicis responded, he took her hand and slowly pulled her up so she was standing again. He ran a hand through his hair, and let go of the girls' hand. He looked back towards the stables, admiring the beautiful horses that were mingling over there. He smiled at the horses and then turned his attention back to the girls and the one guy.

I snort/laugh for a second, but keep a straight face. I silently stroke the horse. "So... ya'll liking camp?"

"It seems alright so for... I am not looking forward to these 'war games', though..." An involuntary shudder racked my spine. Fighting. For FUN. What kind of psychotic maniac came up with that?
