| Riley shrugged. "I don't care. I mean, I'd like to look at the bookstore at some point, but I'm up for whatever you want," he stated, looking at her, trying to be polite. That's how his mother had raised him, after all. She was never particularly strict, allowing him to eat what he wanted so long as it wasn't too much junk, hang out with his friends so long as he had done his homework, play as many video games as he wanted... which wasn't many. She was pretty lenient, but she always told him to treat others with kindness and respect, to think of them first, and that's what he did for the most part. | |

| Angie looked over at him. "Okay. We can go to the bookstore first. Then wherever you like to go. Then, we'll just go on from there." Angie pulled into the parking lot to the mall. It was almost full. She pulled into one of the empty spots. They seemed very rare. Angie turned the key and opened up her door, grabbed her purse in one motion. The mall. Angie didn't exactly like all the crowds and the food court but, there was no where else to shop that was close enough to camp. | |

| "Okay," stated Riley. "To be honest, I really don't have anywhere in particular that I want to go, just the bookstore. If you have a mission, or need to go somewhere, I'll tag along. I'm just happy to get out of camp, get some fresh air for a bit," he admitted to her. "Let's just hope the mall isn't full of crazies today," he said, chuckling. New York malls tended to be that way. | |

| Angie nodded. "Well, I need to go to Forever 21 and possibly H&M." Angie said, walking through the hectic parking lot toward the over-sized mall. Bookstore, Forever 21, H&M, lunch, Wander. And repeated this over in her head until it was memorized. After lunch they could just walk around the mall, heading into stores if they wanted to. Angie looked back at Riley and said, "Hey, you wanna get some lunch later? We can just go to the food court." | |

| Riley nodded, listening to her plans. "I'm fine with that, I can handle being in a girl's clothing store, so long as the attendants don't ask me if I need any help. That'd be a bit awkward," he chuckled. She suggested lunch, and he grinned. "Sure, that I don't care. That sounds good." | |

| Angie smiled at Riley remark. "Well, you can ask me for help. Do you know your dress size?" Angie said sarcasticly. This would be a fun day. She would probably get into a fight with some other seventeen year old over a pair of shoes or shorts. Fun. Angie looked back at Riley, wondering where he prefered to shop. West 49? Boathouse? Quicksilver? Hollister? It was a mystery to her. She had never shopped for a boy before so, she didn't know. Angie opened the large glass door to the mall, holding it open for Riley. | |

| "Oh, yes. I'm a size 4, sometimes, but other's I'm a 6... hm, I don't know. Maybe I should just try it on," he smirked, looking at her. She opened the door for him, which disconcerted him a little, but he walked in regardless. "Thanks," he said, walking into the mall and making sure the door was open for Angie. "You know where the bookstore is? I haven't been to this place in forever." | |

| Angie smiled. "Thank you. And, I'm pretty sure the bookstore is right around the corner. We just have to walk straight down this hall then turn and we're right there." Angie pointed as she gave the directions. She was anxious to get knew books. Some Greek Mythology textbooks and just about 5 novels to last her until she came back in about 3 weeks. Ready came easy to Angie, odd, with her very strong Dyslexia. | |

| "Okay," responded Riley simply as they walked towards the bookstore, it peeking itself out as they turned the corner. It wasn't extremely large, just big enough to have anything Riley would need, and he grinned. He'd never loved huge stores, they'd always annoyed him. There was too much space, too much to see, and the signs were misleading and hard for him to decipher. | |

| Angie beamed at the sight and smell of brand new books. She almost ran at full speed into the store but, she calmed herself down. It was so pretty. All the shelf were perfectly filled with books. Angie looked at Riley. She was glad it wasn't too big. Just the right size. Angie walked past the poles that rang when you stole. She had forgotten what to call them. Weird. Angie walked up a couple stairs to the Young Adult section. Walking to where the Young Adult/Horror was she found her new book. Fear by Micheal Grant. Angie picked it up and stuck it under her arm. She turned and picked up another book. "Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children?" She studied the cover and went to go grab a basket to hold her books. | |

| Riley looked over at Angie, only to see her beaming like a little kid in a candy shop. He smiled, looking away quickly, and made his way into the bookshop. He browsed the new releases a bit, not really looking for anything in particular. Angie raced straight to the Young Adult section. He would, but he found that a multitude of the young adult section at this point were chick-lit books. Those.. he didn't particularly enjoy for obvious reasons. | |

| Angie grabbed her basket and went back over to the Young Adult section, finding another book by Micheal Grant: BZRK. She picked it up and read the summary, almost grinning by the end. She tossed the book into her basket and continued down the isle. She searched and soon found the James Patterson section. Another, great author. She picked up a series called, The Witch and The Wizard and put it into her basket. Now, she was walking toward the history section. Time to find some Greek Mythology books. | |

| Riley continued to browse through the books, not finding anything particularly interesting. There was the Hunger Games, which he had read, a couple classics that he didn't like. He got bored, searching the magazines and eventually making his way over to the History section where he found Angie. "Hey. You find anything good?" | |

| "Uh, well actually yes. I found a couple books. I'm just looking for a proper Greek Mythology textbook. These are very unreliable. None have the right information. I will sooner write my own." Angie picked up a large book, flipping though the pages, studying the cover then putting it down. She asked Riley, "D'you find anything good?" | |

| Riley leaned against the bookshelf, which was sturdy and attached the the wall so that it could not fall over this time. He listened to her talk, chuckling. "None of the Greek Mythology books are going to be accurate. They're all written by mortals. You should write your own, one for demigods. That way we'd all have a place to find the correct information. "But no, I didn't really find much. Nothing's been coming out, and anything that seems remotely interesting is something I've already read." | |

| "Hmm...well I'm done." Angie took her wallet out of her purse and started to walk towards the register. The store was small so, it didn't take long. "Hello." The monotone cashier said. Angie looked behind her, stifling a laugh. She placed her book on the counter and said "Debit." She paid for the book and walked out of the store. | |

| Riley continued to browse the books while she paid, though he didn't miss the extremely bored looking cashier that wrung her up. Angie began to walk out, and he caught up with her. "That cashier seemed extremely excited to wring you up," he stated as they reached the doorway, just loud enough for her to hear it, and he smirked. | |

| Angie laughed now. "Yeah...real enthusiastic." Angie took the plastic bag and hung it in her arm. "So, now we go to Forever 21? If you don't mind....." Angie looked around for Forever 21. It must be somewhere else in the mall, because it was nowhere near here. | |

| Riley shrugged. "I really don't care, though I'm 99% sure I won't be buying anything there," he chuckled. "Forever 21's this way," he stated, making a right and heading towards the huge entrance. Sadly, this store was enormous. "And I only know that because of the sign on the wall." | |

| Angie smiled. She then face palmed. "How did I not see that?" Angie walked towards Forever 21. There was so much to choose from but, Angie just needed shorts. She walked towards the shorts. They were all ridiculously short but, Angie still tried a couple pairs on. | |

| Riley shrugged. "I don't know, maybe I'm a bit smarter than you, daughter of Athena," he smirked at her, joking around. Obviously she was smarter than him. He wasn't stupid, he had a lot of sense, but he just wasn't as book-smart as most children of Athena were. He waited patiently as Angie tried on pairs of shorts, having fun watching girls whine and complain about how they couldn't fit into a shirt and how their pants made their thighs look big. He'd never understood why girls judged themselves so much, though he knew guys judged themselves as well, just not in the same ways. To a girl, something little was such a big deal, whereas to a guy it was usually about the big picture. | |

| Angie decided on some shorts and a couple shirts. She took her wallet out of her purse, proceeding to the check-out. This cashier seemed a bit more enthusiastic. "Hello, What will you be paying with?" The cashier looked around 27 years old with long blonde hair in a braid. Angie placed her shorts and shirts on the counter and said, "Debit please." The woman announced the total price, which came to $84.98, and handed her the Debit machine. Angie payed and waited for Riley at the exit. | |

| Riley followed Angie out of the store. "Where to next, Ms. Navigator?" he asked her jokingly, seeing as he had nowhere in particular that he needed to go. The mall was huge, and there were a multitude of places to which they could venture. Riley was not accustomed to such large malls, he came from a small town and visited small stores, though his mother did take him to malls occasionally, at which times Riley would gape at everything, being so young. | |

| OOC: Sorry its so short...busy with school
Angie shrugged. "H&M?" She stilled had her list in her head. She was checking everything off as they went.
-Bookstore
-Forever 21
-H&M
-Lunch
-Wander
Angie put her Forever 21 bag on her arm and stood, looking at Riley for a response. | |
