| Riley Peterson walked into the camp's library, a place he rarely, if ever, stepped foot into due to his bad ADHD and dyslexia. Today was boring, though, and he needed something to do, so that was where he just so happened to find himself. He browsed through random sections in hopes of finding something entertaining and readable at the same time- which wasn't likely unless he got a book with lots of pictures or a kid's storybook. He chuckled at the absurdity of his situation, but browsed the books anyway.
Upon hearing someone mutter to herself, he looked up from his search just in time to see a girl put her palm to her face in obvious frustration. He stifled a chuckle, trying to make as little noise as possible, but feeling her pain. He leaned against the bookshelf with a bit too much force; however, and a whole stack of books came tumbling off onto the floor.

| Angie turned around quickly at the sound of tens of books fall to the ground making a *Clap!*. She got up out of her wooden chair and started to help boy pick up the books. "How did you manage to knock over all these books?" She grinned. Angie put a couple novels on Odysseus back on the shelf. There was so many books. However, Angie had read almost all of them. | |

| Riley immediately began picking up the books, stacking them haphazardly back on the shelf. He laughed at her question, trying to come up with a good answer. "Uh... a stroke of bad luck?" he grinned at her, placing the last of the books on the shelf before realizing they were probably supposed to be in a certain order. He chose to ignore this fact, shifting awkwardly.
"I'm Riley, Riley Peterson," he introduced himself to her, holding out his hand to help her up. "Thanks for helping me pick up those books, by the way."

| Angie smiled and took his hand. "No problem. I'm Angie Rowland." She pulled the sleeve on her over-sized sweatshirt over her hands. She tucked some hair behind her ear. "I don't mean to be rude but, you don't seem like the type to come to the library willingly." The Athena child fixed her shorts and pulled her pencil out from behind her ear. | |

| Riley released the girl's hand rather quickly feeling awkward, stuffing his hands away in his pockets and shifting from foot to foot. At her statement, he grinned. "Really? I don't seem like the type of person who absolutely loves to read?" he smirked, shaking his head. "Nah. I don't normally come here. I mean, I'd like to read, if it weren't for my dyslexia that stops me from doing it easily. But I was bored, today, so I decided that I was going to attempt to learn something. So far I've learned... your name. Obviously I've made tons of progress." | |

| Riley's stomach twisted at the question that he always dreaded, but he remained perfectly outwardly collected. He took a split second to try to think of a way to change the subject, but when it was obvious there was no skirting around it, especially with a girl who seemed like a daughter of Athena, and he decided he might as well get it over with. "Who's yours?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, while he thought he already knew the answer. "Mine's Geras," he admitted hastily afterwards, not offering up further information as to who that god may be, though he was aware that she could already know. | |

| Angie smiled. "Geras. The god of old age. Cool. Mine's Athena but, I think that obvious." Angie walked over to her little table with blueprints and large white papers sprawled across it. "Would you like to help me with something? I seem to have writers block." Angie took her pencil and put on the table. On her paper there was a map of the camp. There was seven curved lines drawn to symbolize where groups of campers would have gone. Angie put a hand on her forehead. | |

| Riley scoffed. "Cool? Not exactly, unless you like old people," he chuckled. "But sure, I'll help you, or I'll try. What are you making, exactly?" he asked, examining the map but remaining unable to decipher its meaning. | |

| "Well, I'm working on a battle plan but, I can't find an appropriate spot for this," Angie pointed to a picture of tens of Hoplites "group of hoplites." Angie furrowed her eyebrows. She already had 4 groups of hoplites on either side of camp and then 2 in the middle. Angie looked up at Riley with pleading eyes. "Any ideas?" | |

| Riley inspected the picture, perplexed. Although he sometimes acted a bit audacious, Riley was really rather smart and okay at planning things out. He frowned. "Well, it looks like you have enough Hoplites already, but if you really want them to be able to defend, I'd station a group on the coast and at camp's entrance, where the enemies would be most likely to ambush the camp." He looked up at her, though, suddenly curious. "Why are you making a war strategy plan for camp, anyway? It's not like we're in any danger." | |

| Angie looked up at Riley. "Well, with monsters and relevent creatures appearing more often, I have been making plans. Just in case." Angie took her little picture with the Hoplites on it and placed it on Half Blood Hill. Satisfied she looked over the plan before rolling it up like a scroll. | |

| Riley nodded, though a crease formed between his eyebrows as he considered this. "Right. Well, I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. To be perfectly honest, though, I hope all is good at camp. We've had enough trouble for a few decades," he chuckled somberly. "Though I wouldn't be too surprised if there was more around the corner." He sighed, watching her carefully roll up the scroll. | |

| Angie smiled. "Yeah." Angie stuck the plan in her backpack that was hanging over the back of her chair. She stood up and slung it over her shoulder. Wlking over to the M section she pulled out the Maximum Ride collection and walked back over to Owen. "Have you ever read these?" She asked. | |

| ((xD He's Riley, not Owen!))
Riley followed her as she walked, picking up a book and inspecting it every so often. He really did like to read, a lot, even if his dyslexia irked him when he was doing it. She asked him about Maximum Ride and he nodded. "I read them... a few years back. They were good, even if the writing wasn't that great. Good character development, though."

| (( xD got him mixed up with someone elses charrie ))
Angie nodded. "Yeah, I emailed James about his writing choices. He filed a restraining order." Angie smiled and took the fourth book out of the case. The Final Warning it was called. She smiled, looking at the cover.

| Riley chuckled. "Really?" He watched her uncover the fourth book, and he frowned. "By that one, they all went downhill. I still felt compelled to read them, though," he admitted guiltily. "It was sort of a waste of time, though. I could have been reading something educational. But that would have been boring." | |

| Angie nodded histerically. "I'm dead serious." Angie looked around for another book, spotting How To Kill A Mockingbird. She quickly put Maximum Ride back and ran over to it. "This book!" She pointed happily to the cover. "Best book ever!" http://www.polyvore.com/angie_rowland/set?id=45958415 | |

| Riley laughed with her, chuckling as she ran over to another book. "Oh. To Kill a Mockingbird... I remember being completely bored reading it in class, but at least Harper Lee has some writing skill." | |

| "It's interesting to me but, thats probably because I'm a nerd. Harper Lee is quite the author." Angie smiled and put the book back. She was going to go shopping later. Indigo would have lots of books that Angie would like. She decided that she would take her 1957 Pontiac Star Cheif to Indigo later, in search of new books. | |

| "I love to read, believe it or not, that just.. wasn't one of my favorites. It was a good book, though," he admitted, skimming the books on the shelf with his fingers, the letters moving around their spines a bit due to his lack of concentration on the titles. | |

| Angie nodded. "Hey you wanna come to the mall later? I'm gonna go grab some books. I got money burning a hole in my pocket..." She shrugged and leaned against the end of a bookshelf. It was sturdy enough to hold her. | |

| Riley shrugged, considering her offer. He hadn't been outside of camp in a while, and so long as it wasn't raining he should be okay. "Alright!" he stated, enlightened a bit at the prospect of getting out, having a change of scenery, if just for a little bit. Plus, he had always loved bookstores. They were quiet, with no one wanting to know why you were there, who you were, what you were doing... you could get lost, blend so easily. | |

| Angie nodded. "Okay, well, I'm leaving in like a half hour? Should we go grab money and stuff? I have to go to the bank so...." Angie shrugged and raised her eyebrows. She couldn't wait to go. Angie didn't seem like the type to like shopping but, she found it relaxing. | |
