I made an orange rose form in my hand. I looked at her and offered it to her. "You know what an orange rose means?" I asked her, looking into her eyes. Desire, that's what it meant. .

The mortals nearby had noticed most of the conversation between the two kids. And due to the Mist, they saw the boy pull out a rose and hold it out to the girl. The people's reaction was along the lines of "D'AWWWWWWWWW!"

Oh, goodness. I took the rose, and tried to keep a straight face. I was DETERMINED not to blush.

I closed my eyes and made a wall of shadow form around us then expand out, pushing all of the mortals away.

Oh, crap. Again. I looked at the floor uncertainly. This was a difficult choice... I could a) run away, therefore saving myself from an imminent complicated situation, and hurt Ezrah's feelings, or b) stay and probably fail myself to death.
