Jerry walked in the arena. He figured he would practice his fighting skills. So, he found some straw dummies, and he took out his claymore and startedwacking away at the dummies. This was always a good way tpo vent anger even though Jerry truly wasn't angry now, but it was still fun.

Jerry continued wacking away at the dummies until there was nothing left ofthem but a pile of straw. So, he found some more dummies and started wacking away at them.

Jerry then stopped for a moment to wipe a bead of sweat of off his head. He hadn't trained like this in a while. Well it was a good thing he was training now. Perhaps later he would go and test his strength against some real monsters in the forest. That would be fun and challenging at the same time.

Eden walked into the arena with purpose. She hadn't been at camp for a few months, and she KNEW she needed to brush up on her fighting skills after that crazy kid's cult people had come after her and legitimately threatened her life. She didn't even think they had been Greek monsters, they were just messed up mortals. She pulled off an orange charm on her necklace, which instantly became a dagger in her hand.

Just as she was about to walk farther into the arena, she paused, hearing loud grunting and the familiar sound of a knife impaling straw dummies. She pondered for a second, debating as to whether or not she should enter the place. She shrugged to herself and stepped into the clearing, deciding to observe the demigod in order to determine whether or not she should stay.

The boy here was hacking away at the dummies murderously for no reason, and he seemed to take a bit of pleasure in doing so. Great, another crazy bloodthirsty demigod. She sighed, turning her rainbow streaked hair to a dark black, her eyes remaining their same teal color. The contrast was sort of nice. Anyway, she observed to possibly angry boy. "Wow, killing inanimate objects must be really fun," she stated, as she nonchalantly sliced a far away dummy's arm.

Jerry noticed the girl who entered the arena and he also noticed her sly remark. He shrugged at her stating, "Who said it was fun, but I might as well fight like I would on the field of battle."

Jerry impaled another dummy, then slicing its head off. He moved his head back and forth letting out a large crack. He then walked to wards the girl with his arms crossed. He watched her fighting style and nodded. But, he also noticed she looked like she hadn't fought in a while.

"Is this your first time at Camp-half Blood?" he asked watching her slice at the dummy.

He observed the girl she had dark black hair and teal eyes. The hair was a semi-common color, but the teal eyes were not so much.

Eden's eyes glanced back towards the boy, but she refused to turn around to completely acknowledge him this time. She stabbed the dummy in the stomach, twisting her dagger and withdrawing it. Woah. Out of the corner of her eye, dummy hater was coming towards her. She hadn't yet decided whether this guy was creepy or just loved destroying dummies, and she felt a bit stupid now having said something to him. She turned to face him at his question.

"No, of course it's not my first time. I do know something about fighting," Eden rolled her eyes slightly. "But I took some time off around.. May? I think. And now I'm back, so I haven't really fought in a while." She probably shouldn't be telling this guy this, being the intelligent person that she was.

(I'm having horrid writers block)

Jerry sighed as the girl spoke. He looked at the dummy she had attacked. He noticed multiple sccars on it. If it were a real person it would be dead. Seeing as how this girl was here though he thought of an idea.

"You know how bout we fight," Jerry said fiddling with his sword, "It's better to fight against a moving foe than an inanimate object."

He pointed his claymore at the girl. He raised his chin and let out a small cough. "So what say you?" he asked.

"What say I?" Eden scoffed slightly, repeating the boy. He sounded like Shakespeare or something like that. She did think it was a good idea to fight with a living person, but maybe not with him. He could kill her for the fun of it and dispose of her body in the lake for all she knew, and she shuddered at the thought.

"Alright," she agreed. "I'll fight you, if you swear on the Styx you won't kill or severely injure me," she stated, attempting to evaluate him.

Jerry shrugged saying, "Fine I swear by Styx I won't kill you or severly hurt you in this sword fight."

He looked up at the sky and heard thunder in the distance. He laways wondered why that happened when he swore on Styx. Who knows maybe it was some special swear.

Jerry walked a foot or so away from the girl, and he raised his claymore again. He knew the girl had a dagger so that meant she was good if she got close luckly though, Jerry's sword was a claymore so he could strike from farther away.

"Your move first," Jerry called now looking at the girl getting prepared to fight.

Eden flinched slightly as he made the bond and she heard the sound of thunder resonate ominously throughout the arena. It gave her the creeps, but so long as she knew she was safe, at least for this moment, she didn't really care.

She steadied herself, holding her dagger out and ready. She knew the boy was probably underestimating her abilities, and she smirked slightly. She had more daggers than just this one, and her agility was usually impeccable. Then again, she could also be overestimating her abilities. She hadn't truly practiced in a few months, and for all she knew she'd be beat in just a couple minutes.

The boy had given Eden the option to move first, but she shook her head. She had a very good feeling that the boy wanted to go first, seeing that he seemed eager to fight, and him going first would give her the opportunity to react and pick up on his technique. She knew she wouldn't get this opportunity in a true run in with a monster, but right now she didn't care. She looked at him patiently, awaiting his first move.

Jerry shrugged. The girl didn't want to the first attack. He thought he was doing her the honors of letting her go first, but it seems she didn't want to. Well the, it was time to start.

Jerry watched the girl. He needed to get close to the girl but far away at the same time. It was strange, but that's the way claymores worked. They were meant to be long blades that allowed you to fight in heavy melee combat close to your opponent but still a distance away. They were also made just because of there brute strength, but that also meant they were slower.

Jerry shook his head though. He had thought about this long enough. So, he charged at the girl. When he got wwithing range of her he swung his blade with much brute force.

Hm. Eden took the last few moments of her time to ponder the boy's skills before he attacked her. She was on guard, and she was certainly ready as he made his first move. He seemed to think he was special, what with his super long swords. Well, Eden'd see about that.

He charged at her like a bull, and the expression on his face forced Eden to stifle a chuckle. Focus, she told herself. She needed to. She hadn't fought in a bit, but she didn't want it to be too obvious. She knew this wasn't serious, that it was just for practice, for fun, though she tried to keep that thought out of her head for fear of losing concentration.

He swung his blade down upon her and she twisted, jumping out of the way quickly but catching his long, sharp blade upon her stout dagger, which looked weak in comparison.

Jerry was suprised that the girls dagger could catch his claymore. The girl must have had a bit more practice than he had expected. That was good it would only make the fight more fun.

Jerry lifted his sword of the girls dagger and thrust his sword down again in a cleaving motion.

Jerry liked long fights, so he was hoping this wouldn't end to fast, because what is a fight if you don't find the rush of it, and then afterwords even if you lost you will still know you put on a good fight.

Eden moved backwards quickly, allowing him to skitter towards the floor as she moved around him, slicing around near his shoulder with her right arm. This boy was obviously conceited, and he thought he could win this fight. Well, she wasn't just going to let him do that. She may not have had practice in a few months but her rhythm was coming back to her bit by bit as if it had never left her... maybe it hadn't. She grinned, exhilarated, and it felt strangely out of place on her face when she was fighting someone dangerously. Dangerously was a loose term in their situation, actually, seeing as they weren't actually trying to kill each other no matter how serious the fight may have looked from the point of view of an outsider.
