Target Practice.

I walk in with my bow and arrows. I walk toward the ranges, then notch an arrow in my bow. I let it go and watch. It hits the target with a pang. I squint my eyes to look at where it landed. 10. I let out a tiny cheer and do a happy dance in my head. I shoot some more times, then leave.

I came in, a bit shy but walked with a smile to an empty post. It seems like everyone knows everyone. Now I really feel like a ninny, and a noobish noob. I didn't mind that reproachful thought. I took my bow from my back and took some practice arrows and shoot with great precision hitting areas near the bullseye.

I walk in, nervous. First practice, i thought, yeah, cuz THATS fun! "practices" YAY! i got all bullseyes!!!!!

I walk in, pull out my bow, seeing that is had a arrow notched, he mutters to him self,"Thank you, Apollo." I shoot the arrow, and see that the arrow was just outside the "10". After that, I leave.

I walked in, holding my bow and with my quiver of arrows strapped onto my back. If I'm going to be stuck at this stupid camp for a while with the Hunters, I might as well practice my archery, I thought. Even if I didn't need much practice, it was always good to still keep on shooting at the targets daily. I lined up at one of the target stations and pulled an arrow out of my quiver.

I walk in, my fever getting the best of me. But my mom always said, even when your sick, you should always keep working. I yawn, and feel like passing out, but I don't. I grab my water bottle, and chug it all down. My bow was behind my back. I used to have a sword, but I switched, because the kids at the Apollo cabin said I should. I see a few more kids, one looking pretty serious. Possibly a daughter of hunter of Artemis. Wait, does Artemis have children? I shrug. The girl began shooting, and I was impressed. I did what she did, and aimed it at the target. I stabbed into the ground. I cursed softly in Greek. I looked over at the girl, hoping she didn't hear. I try again, this time exactly what she did. It hit not in the middle, but close. I did a fist pump. I looked at the girl and asked. "Can you like...help me?"

I sigh really loud. I pull out a golden bow and lock it in my bow. I shoot. I hit every where but on the target. I scream curses in anceint Greek. I throw my aroow on the ground stomp on it. I run out whisper lots of curses.

I glance towards the voice. It was a camper, who, from what I could see, wasn't exactly the world's best archer. Normally, I don't 'help' people, but for this girl camper I would make an exception. She reminded me of me when I was first recruited by Artemis. I nod at her. "Yes, I'll help you out, I suppose. Show me how you shoot,so I can see the problem."

I grin at the girl. "Okay. Thanks." I aim and shoot at the target, and it awkwardly charges into the floor. I curse, but then quickly say "Excuse my language." I throw my bow and arrow down. Hoping it wasn't broken, I pick it up. Sure enough, cracked in half. "Aww..man?" I look at the girl. "Since you are like, a daughter or hunter of Artemis, can you make bows and arrows appear? I could use another." I shift my feet back and forth. I was not happy. And sort of embarassed. I must sound like an idiot.

"I can't really make one appear... I may be a huntress, but I don't have powers," I said with a tiny smile. "Thankfully, I come prepared, and I have extra bows and arrows." I walk over to my pack I had set down before I started shooting, and pulled out a crafted wooden bow and arrows, with celestial bronze tips. I walk back and hand them to the girl.

I take the bow and arrow. "Thanks." I mutter. I touch my head. I could tell my fever was at least 101 degrees. And outside was already about 94 degrees.

I walk back in to give this thing a chance again. I take my bow, lock an arrow, and shoot. I miss."I guess Apollo wasnt supposed to be the god of arrows." I mutter. I put my bag near my spot. I sit down and cry. I hope someone will save me from humilluation.
