Thomas just finished his... business, and after washing his hands, he bumped into a girl. "sorry," he said quickly. "I didn't see you there." Bloodwing flew accross the sky, looking down at this girl.

Bree raised an eyebrow. "And here I thought I was the distracted one. Watch it, Mister or I'll rip you a new one."

Bree was not in a good mood today. She dodged the dude, keeping as far from him as she could. He made her nervous.

Thomas frowned. "Sorry, miss. I meant no offense..." Bloodwing landed on his shoulder glaring at her. "Easy, Blood," he muttered. "easy..." He looked at the girl again. "Don't mind Bloodwing. He's... defensive. it takes a few moments for him to trust you..." he chuckled. "He doesn't trust Chiron in the slightest."

"I don't trust him either," Bree said, eyeing the bird. She looked ready to run and when Bree ran, she kicked up dust for you to eat.

Bloodwing looked at the girl, his head cocked to the side. after a few moments, Thomas spoke. "Ok, at least he has established that you aren't a threat. He usually is good at figuring that out."

"Uhuh," Bree asked, raising an eyebrow. "You best be careful. If my cousins see you, they'll tear you apart."

"You heard her, Blood", Thomas said, gently scratching the devil bird's feathered breast. "Seriously, though, I'll keep an eye out..." He looked at the ground, feeling awkward. "My name's Thomas."

She narrowed her eyes at him. "Bree," she said after a while. "Bree Taylor. Apollo cabin."

"Mm." Thomas replied, acknowledging her. The boy then nudged Bloodwing. "This is Bloodwing, or Blood, if you like. He's a mildly temperamental creature, but he's fiercly loyal to me, and to anyone I think of as a friend... I found him on the road, near death. did my level best to heal him, but heck, it's not like we have the same dad. I'm no medic."

"Betcha would have killed for my first aid skills," she said. "Don't get me wrong, though. I'm no healer. I'm a runner. I can run faster than you would believe."

Thomas gave a passing glance at her legs, assessing the build. "I'll believe it. on that note, though, I would have killed for your running skills. my travels started in Oklahoma, and I was on foot till I got here."

She didn't like his look. "Don't look at my legs, thank you," she said scathingly, giving her best glare. "I can't run for that long. I'm a crosscountry runner but it still took me days to get from LA to New York."

"Right," the demigod said, looking at the bathrooms instead. "So... did you ever feel that the world was just ignoring you?"

Thomas couldn't help it. He blurted "Very pretty" before he was shut up by Bloodwing screeching in his ear. sometimes that bird was good at telling him when he needed to shut up. it usually was all the time. "Sorry," he muttered. "My mouth got away from me." he looked at the wall, silently counting the cracks in the surface as he berated himself.

"I'm clueless about people," Thomas corrected. He sighed. "I guess I'll just..." he stated to turn, and walk away. He had already upset her. no need to tick her off.

She rolled her eyes. She took a position and bolted, kicking up dust as she ran circles around him. She kept running and running until she had to stop, dizzy. "Damn... Anyhoo... Wh-where are you going?"

"No offense, but away from you. you seemed to not want to be around me, so I was just helping." He gave a faint, yet slightly sad smile. "I'm not bothering you too much, am I?"
