I nodded. I opened up a random drawer. There were packages labeled 'Greek fire.' Hmm.

I found myself just staring at all the bloodstains in the room again. It was apalling, really, this blatant lack of hygine. There could be all sorts of gross bacterial diseases just festering in here, waiting to infect poor, injured Romans.

I picked up one of the packages of the green liquid and threw it at the wall furthest from me. As soon as it hit, green flames spread out across that wall.

I looked at the strange, green fire. It seemed to be... sticky, somehow. "Oh, that's nice..." I muttered, and went over to the drawer full of the stuff. "Think we should take it? I bet that fire-breathing kid was a child of Ves- I mean, Hestia. There'd be a certain irony in burning down his cabin," I said with a grin.

I grabbed a glass of water and poured it over the flame. The flame kept going. "Hmm. .clever." I muttered, completely oblivious to whatever Kako had said.

I observed the flame in an almost scientific fashion, still ignoring my sister.

There were enough containers that I'd need some sort of bag to carry them in. I opened some more cupboards, and didn't see anything like that. My mind went back to the linen bandages. I could tie those into some sort of jar-carrying sling or something, right?

I wondered what would happen if I threw one at Kako. .I grabbed one and stared at her mischievously.

I ignored Malum, and went over to the bandage cupboard, took out a few rolls of linen bandages, and started to tie them together into a dense, sack-like net.

"Kako, you think you can catch one of these without it exploding on you?" I asked her, and then casually tossed it at her.

I dropped my half-finished linen bag to catch the jar of volatile fire. "The HE*#, Malum?" I yelled, annoyed. "What if that had exploded? I WOULD HAVE DIED." I pointed at the wall, at the sticky green flame that was still eating its way through the wooden panels.

I rolled my eyes. "Ha ha. Now shut up before I throw it at you," I muttered, then put the jar down and went on with my knot-tieing.

I went back to watching the wall burn. "At least that wall will be sanitized." I mused to myself.

"Mhm. That many less festering bloodstains, eh?" I muttered, concentrating on the production of my lovely bandage bag.

I looked at what Kako was doing. "Are you making yourself a purse?" I asked, and rolled my eye. "Girls" I said in an exasperated tone.

"No, sh*#-for-brains, I'm making a bag to cart off all this Greek fire with," I scoffed. A purse. That was just stupid.

"Fine then," I said, and tossed the now-finished bag at Malum. "Merry Christmas. Put your sh*# in your purse and let's leave."

I threw it back on Kako. "Christmas is over. Happy Chanukkah, put your sh*t in the bag and let's go."

"So you admit it's a bag," I smirked, and started filling it with jars of Greek fire.

"Only because you wouldn't carry it if I called it a purse." I said, admitting defeat. This time.

"Yeah, you'd carry it, and then you'd insist it was a satchel." Once the drawer of Greek fire was emptied and the bag was full, I hoisted it over my shoulder. Dam#, fire was heavy.
