Yup, Drake was jealous. I did feel a pang of sympathy when she start crying, but I kept it to myself. Maybe Cynder would offer her playinf with the baby. It would need to be social, so that would make sense. I whispered my suggestion in her ear. "Maybe we should let our baby play with it's Aunt."

I thought that over for a few seconds. As long as Drake didn't try to hurt the baby, I supposed that would be alright. She looked rather upset for some reason. Was she jealous because I liked the baby and Lee more than her? Probably. But how were we going to convey that idea to Drake? It'd feel a bit weird going 'Hey, I know you're obscenely jealous, but you could be friends with the baby!'

I glanced down meekly at my feet. I shouldn't feel dissapointed - I mean, I knew it was coming right? C-Cynder had never really even acted like she liked me, and I- her... her boyfriend was more important to her. So, why was I upset? I was just being stupid. No one wanted me - I should know that. I should know that. A tear trickled down my cheek though it was hidden by my hair. "I-" I broke off as my voice cracked before swallowing. "I um, I... I'm going to leave...you. E-Eva? Are you ready?"

I prodded Cynder's side a little. "Cynder, she's not going to listen to mean. Just. .tell her." I said. Drake was lucky I was so happy, or I probably would have slit her throat for that molestation comment.

"You're right," I muttered, with a bit of a sigh. Okay, time to try to be a semi-alright sister. "Drake," I began, louder and sort of nervous about screwing this up. I wasn't exactly good at being nice to her. "You could probably... er, play with the baby, after it's born..." Yeah, fail.

Quite honestly, I felt intrigued. I'd never really been around someone who was going to have a baby. I'd eaten some ambrosia and had ceased to bleed, so I walked up to Cynder and Lee, feeling sort of nervous. They were rather intimidating, though I tried not to show any fear. I held out a tentative hand. "Can I... um, can I touch your tummy?"

My back stiffened as the suggestion - nonono, no more hoping! Pessimist. You're going to be a pessimist. Her boyfriend probably did it to get my hopes up and was...was going to slit my throat when I wasn't expecting it.

When Eva spoke I looked up, forgetting about my tear stained cheeks. Was she crazy?!

I looked at Cynder, and then back to. .Evangeline. I figured now was a good of time as any to tell her. ."Just so you know, I got revenge for you. Before Ariana died, I popped one of her eyes out." I said, and moved my hands off of Cynder's belly. I looked over at Drake. "I killed your mother, Drake." I specified.

'Your mother.' She wasn't my mother. "She wasn't my mother." I mumbled, eyes narrowing as I looked down again. I was going to be a pessimist - Ariana was going to come back somehow and kill me. Negative thoughts.

"... um. Thank you?" I really wasn't sure how to respond to that, but a congratulatory statement seemed in order. I was sort of impressed that he'd actually managed to kill that witch, though.

I shrugged in answer to the little girl with an eyepatch, and then had an amusing thought about her being a pirate.

I carefully put my hand on Cynder's tummy. It seemed like a normal stomach for all intents and purposes. Didn't pregnant women usually have really big stomachs, anyways? Maybe they were wrong and she wasn't actually going to have a kid. "Are you sure there's a baby in there? I don't feel anything."

I smiled. Children were so innocently stupid. "It's only been a few eeeks. The baby hasn't grown much." I said.

"Oh," I said, and turned around a bit, but kept my little hand where it was. I faced Drake, who looked rather upset. "Drake, come say hi to your niece or nephew."

Well, that was sort of cute. I smiled faintly at Drake, who still looked like someone had just stolen a plate of cookies from her and eaten them all. "And stop being so sad, while you're at it."

I sniffled slightly and rubbed my eyes before looking up, unable to squash the annoying hope. "O-Okay..." I trecked over to them, my feet scuffing the ground.

I decided to look away from Drake to make this less nerve-racking for her. I kind of rested the side of my head on the back of Cynder's neck, nuzzling against her a little. What a funny word. Nuzzle.

Bah. I reached over and grabbed Drake by the wrist, pulling her hand onto Cynder's stomach, next to my own tiny palm. I couldn't stand how slowly she was moving. ~~I was totally power-playing, but whatever.~~

"See? That wasn't so bad," I smiled, and reached over my shoulder a bit to ruffle Lee's hair. Whatever he was doing was giving me that warm fuzzy feeling again.

My eyes widened slightly - but it was just a tummy, right? "Is there really a baby in there?" I asked, not quite believing it. Babies were supposed to be big, right? I think, at least...

I smiled when Cynder ruffled my hair and just let her explain things to Drake. I was trying to be nice, and with Drake, that meant completely ignoring her.

"Mhm," I said, with a small nod. "It's very, very small right now, but it'll grow with time." It was sort of nice, not yelling at and fighting with Drake. She looked so young with that expression, and it reminded me of the fact that no matter how annoying she was sometimes, she was still a little kid. Would the baby look anything like her if it was a girl? That was possible, since Drake looked so much like I had when I was little, but it depended on how much it looked like Lee... thinking about this was a little confusing.

I nodded, excepting the explanation - Cynder was never wrong after all. But, wait... "Cynder... how are babies made?" I questioned glancing up, my eyes unconsciously widening and taking on a look reminscet to Bambi.

Oh, Gods, Drake. .why did you ask that? I almost laughed nervously, but it into a smirk. I was glad my face was hidden behind Cynder's back, because I probably blushed a little, too.

I... well, sh#t. I looked off to the side a bit and turned slightly pink, trying to come up with something to say. I wasn't going to tell them the actual truth, obviously, but I couldn't come up with any good lies. "Err... well, when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much..."

BIC: I nodded, listening intently. I'd always wanted to know this. I had made a comment about molesting, but I didn't really know what it meant. S'not like I was going to admit that though. I only knew about it from the little bit of the orphanage's Molesation Awareness video, and that way It- er, Lee held Cynder looked veeeeery familar.

I picked my head up and set it my chin on Cynder's shoulder. Drake would discredit anything I said, but I had a feeling she needed some help telling a. .pretend story. Not a lie. Pfft. She'd never lie to Drake. I whispered, "Praying to the Gods," in her ear, faint enough for only her to hear.

I pulled my hand away and focused on Cynder's face. I'd seen Lee's mouth move slightly, but hadn't heard anything, which made me suspicious. Was she going to lie to us?

Oh, thank the gods (and Lee), that'd work for an explanation. It wasn't entirely a lie, since I recalled thinking up some prayers to the gods for a child... "They, uh, pray to the gods, and then get a baby." Gods, I wasn't very good at lying, and I had a feeling that at least one of them wasn't fooled.

My eyes lit up. Even though Thantos didn't like me, maybe the goddess of babies... wasn't that Demeter? Or Hera? Hmm... would like me! "So, you pray to the gods and then they give you a baby?" I questioned before my eyebrows furrowed. "But why'd they put the baby in your tummy? That seems a little mean..."
