OOC: Turtle isn't on right now but I've been dying to respond to that, Dv, so... /skips Turtle and feels bad but lol we won't post again until he does right? Right.

BIC: "Because... it needs a safe place to grow," I explained. That part was true, I supposed. But I saw this funny gleam in Drake's eyes, like she was plotting something. "Don't go thinking you can have one," I added, looking stern. "You have to be older, and there has to be a father for the baby."

I just decided to answer that one myself. "It's not like they're going to give you the baby for free. They put it in the mom's belly so that she can feed it for a bit before it's born. That's how babies end up looking like there parents, from being inside their mom." I said. I was accustomed to lying, but these weren't very sound lies.

I come in and see the two fools there "Ugh... Let's do this peacefully. You leave me alone and I'll leave you alone. I just want to grab a band-aid." I start looking for the band-aids while holding my left finger to keep it from bleeding anymore. I cut myself really bad with one of the stars. I waent waaaaay overboard with my whetstone

I ignore the random addition in favor of crumpling my eyebrows again. "But how does the baby breathe? And why's the baby look like the daddy then? Wouldn't it just look like the mommy?"

I shot a wary glance at a certain familiar irritant, but decided not to beat the living sh#t out of him for now. I had to be careful not to get myself or the baby hurt, after all. I looked back to Drake, who was proving to be far too inquisitive for her own good. "The baby get air from the mommy until its born," I explained. "And, er..." Oh, gods, I couldn't come up with something to say to answer the why-does-it-look-like-the-daddy question. Dammit.

Someone else walked in, and they appeared to be adversely associated with the happy couple. I noted that Cynder didn't look happy about their entrance, but didn't act upon her irritation, so I assumed that this random person must have annoyed her or Lee in some way. Maybe there had been a fight, but nothing too serious. Just in case drama started to go down, I kept an eye (har har) on the newcomer.

I glared at the stupid ice guy who'd started off the whole bad-ness at the beach. I really wanted to run him through while he was, although only slightly, injured. Stabbing him with a sword would be incredibly satisfying. I looked over at Drake. "Questions are stressful, Drake. But that's something the Gods do. I have no idea how it works." I said, pointing at Cynder's belly when i said 'stressful.'

My eyes widened. "Wow... That's so cool!" I squealed the last part, my fcace lighting up.

I nodded. Drake's naivety was somewhat amusing, and actually sort of cute in a 'hah, this little kid has no idea what's going on' sort of way. "Mhm. We're very lucky to be having a baby," I said, and glanced at Lee to smile at him.

I smiled back at Cynder and kissed her nose. You're welcome for being G-rated, Drake.That sentence had brought back all of those happy feelings from a few minutes . .maybe a half-hour now. .before, of knowing that, despite the stupid probabilities, Cynder was pregnant. I bit my lip a little and looked over at Drake and Evangeline, not wanting to make the cripple feel unwelcome. "Cynder and I are heading to the cabin, and we want to be alone. " I said softly.

My face fell slightly before I pursed my lips in thought. "Do mommies and daddies need to spend time together so the baby looks like the daddy?" That sounded logical, right?

BIC: "I don't know, Drake, but it can't hurt to spend time alone..." Making up all these lies was difficult and confusing, and I was getting tired of it and wanted to just go back to the cabin with Lee. We had a lot of things to sort out, and a lot of happy feelings that needed to be expressed.

I felt like I was being included in the conversation again, albeit tentatively. I didn't mind that I was slightly left out, though, as I felt important enough watching the random injured intruder like a hawk. Babies were special, for some unknowable reason, and I had to make sure he wasn't about to do something that would hurt Cynder and the baby.

I bit Cynder's ear gently. "I really wish they would leave already. "I whispered, barely moving my lips. I squeezed her a little tighter. I had so many. .ideas . .in mind for when we got back to the cabin.

I glanced back at Evangeline, resisting the urge to pout. I hadn't seen Cynder in days and I didn't want her to leave but... but.. I didn't want to hurt her baby! My... my niece or nephew. I glanced back to my sister, a hesitant look on my face. "Can we come and see you again later?"

I fumble around cabinets until I find the pack of band-aids. I rip the pack open and put the band-aid on my finger. I shove the pack back into the cabinet. I glare and Cynder and Lee, then I leave

I considered that. Maybe in a few hours... or after dinner... or... "Maybe tomorrow, or in a few days..." I spotted a glaring face out of the corner of my eye, and watched the irritating idiot leave. Thank the gods he hadn't gotten the idea to attack us.

I raised one eyebrow at Drake when she looked back at me, but said nothing. I didn't exactly see the charm in visiting them day after day, but if Drake wanted to do that, then whatever. Maybe I could go off and do something else if I got too bored.

I glared back at the stupid idiot and tried hard not to flat out say no to Drake. "The baby's not going to change much except for every week or so." I pointed out. I said it nicely, though. And it was bstter than telling her to f*ck off.

I shrugged. It wasn't like I was doing anything particularly important or useful. "Yeah."

I had half a mind to just tell 'GET OUT OF HERE ALREADY', but that probably wasn't the best thing to do. It'd probably just make Drake stay and argue, if anything.

I nodded. "Bye Cynder!" I chirped before pausing slightly. "B-Bye... L...L...Lee..." I muttered, the words like acid on my tongue. I couldn't help but shudder, but I shook it off quickly and grabbed Eva before shadowtraveling us out.

As soon as Drake left, I laughed at her awkward bye to me, then turned Cynder in my lap. I pulled her tight up against me and leaned forward to kiss her. I'd been holding back all of my happiness for a bit too long, and would have to hold it back a bit more until we got to the cabin. For now, I'd settle with some kissing.

Well, I was poofed. How very unexciting.

The moment those two left, I let out a profound sigh of relief. We didn't have to keep making up lies or continue being 'appropriate for company' now. I felt Lee's arms around me, and smiled as he pulled me closer. Our lips met, and as I kissed him, I found myself wishing we had the money to go out and get a hotel room again.

Okay, never mind. I couldn't really settle for just some kissing. I gave Cynder a few more kisses before separating our lips gently and whispering, "I kind of want to do more than kiss you right now, Cynder." I more ved my hands up her torso slowly, smiling at her.

I leaned forwards slightly, not quite kissing him again, but just brushing my lips against his before I responded with a low murmur, "Do you want to go back to the cabin, or just... lock the door?" I glanced at the entrance to the infirmary, which did indeed have locks.

I smiled. "I think I'd prefer to lock the door." I whispered, and picked Cynder up and laid her down on the bed gently. I got up and jogged over to the door, closing and locking it. I jogged back to Cynder, laying down in tip if her, being careful to not apply pressure to her stomach.
