| I slept through the entire night, until the sun started to rise. Which was actually quite late, around 7:30, because it was winter. Light shone in through the cabin windows, much brighter than the glowing walls, and woke me up even though my head was still under the blankets. Urggggh. I wanted to sleep more... I shut my eyes again, and put the pillow over my head, too. | |

| I just lay there, wanting to fall back asleep. But the light was too insidious, and somehow crept past the blankets and the pillow and my hair and my eyelids to keep me awake. Gah. | |

| Stupid light. Right now, it seemed like there was nothing more evil in the world than the sun. Not monsters, or evil chipmunks, or even cannibalistic vampires could compare to the malevolence of that stupid ball of gas. Maybe Apollo just liked shining more light into the Artemis cabin to annoy his sister's children or something. Well, boo. It ended up affecting a Nemesis kid, not an Artemis one. Stupid Apollo. | |

BIC: I sighed. This was pretty useless. I shoved the blankets off of me and propped myself up on my elbows, squinting because of the sudden brightness. I sat up and glanced out the window, running an absentminded hand through my tangled bed-hair. The sun was still rising, it seemed. It was making the clouds turn very pretty shades of red and orange. | |

| After a few more minutes, the sun had cleared the horizon, and the sky was a dull, cloudy blue-gray. I started thinking about breakfast, and my stomach growled. Hmm. I could go get food, but no doubt Daz would wake up while I was gone and think I ditched him. That'd be a horribly mean thing to do... so, for the meantime, I decided to just wait. | |
