Cynder reluctantly handed Ashton over to the doctor. She really, really did not want to let go of her daughter again, but it was necessary. She thought about the 'solution' to the problem of fetching things for the kids again. Was Raf really trustworthy enough for the job? He'd be responsible for diapers, food for the kids, and food for Cynder and Lee, too. Unless they could go to the mess hall all together. But that would mean interaction with other campers, and other campers meant danger.

Lee looked around, trying to think of a way to contact Raf. He supoosed he could use an Iris Message, if he coukd make a rainbow... and if he had a drachma. Damn. Nevermind, then. He moved close up to Cynder and sat down, taking her hand. "I love you, Cynder." He said softly. He hadn't said it in a while, since Cynder had started to go into labor. And now... she had given birth to his children. There was nothing better.

Cynder smiled, and gave Lee's hand a gentle squeeze. "I love you, too." There had been a moment shortly after she first found out she was pregnant, where love had been a concern. All of her affections had been aimed towards Lee back then, and she worried that once she had a child, or as it turned out, children, she would have to divide her love and give less than deserved amounts to each party. But it wasn't like that it all. It was more like... her heart just grew bigger to hold more love, as stupid and cheesy as that sounded. And not literally, an enlarged heart was dangerous.

Lee smiled at Cynder, and let out a little sigh. This time, the sigh wasn't from exasperation or hopelessness; it was from happiness. He was glad that Cynder had made it through all this, that they had children, and that those children would turn ibto badasses at an accelerated rate. He stilk didn't have any idea how to get ahold of Raf, but the jackass had a way of showing up in their lives randomly, so Lee figured it wouldn't be a problem. For now, he was alone with Cynder, and that was good.

Raf, of course, had seen Cynder and Lee running away from camp. When he was Cynder's giant belly, he knew it meant babies. So he followed them, staying far behind in case they were paranoid enough to continually check behind them, which he assumed they were. Now, he was standing guard near the ICU, hiding in the shadows. Occassionally he would walk over to their room. Cynder had just given birth, so she was no good ij a fight. Lee was emotionally compromised. So Raf fearlessly took the role of guard. He wasn't going to tell Cynder or Lee he'd been here, but he woukd saunter in to their room in the morning.

After all the stress she'd gone through in the past several hours, Cynder was very, very tired. She and Lee were holding hands again, their kids were going to be safe at camp, and everything was going to turn out just fine. She pulled a hospital blanket over herself and closed her eyes, ready to drift off into a nice sleep. Or at least a nap.

Lee judged the size of the hospital bed and figured it would make more sense for him to sleep in the chair. There were too many wires and tubes everywhere for him to really go anywhere. Lee had been using his powers to alleviate Cynder's pain during the birthing stuff, so he, too, was very tired. He leaned back in the chair and got as comfortable as possible. He didn't even take the time to think about the fact that someone could take his babies now, while they were asleep, or he woukd have stayed up to keep watch. And the time for that passed as soon as Lee closed his eyes, because he fell asleep almost instantly.

The night passed calmly, and by morning, Cynder was still sound asleep despite the rays of light peeking through the small window on the eastern wall. It had been a peaceful, dreamless night, which she would undoubtedly be glad for in the morning. It could possibly her last good night's rest for a couple of months.

Lee woke up when sun light started shining onto his eyes. He groaned, yawned, and sat up. There was a crick in his neck and some mild pain in his lower back, but he'd still managed a good night of sleep. He smiled at Cynder, even though she was sleeping. She was just so peaceful and calm. Admittedly, though, her hair was a mess. They'd been away fron camp for a day or two, and they'd both kind of stopped maintaining appearances. Lee could feel that his hair was a giant pile of knots, but didn't bother messing with it.

Cynder slept on, despite the noises Lee made when he woke up, and the light, and the general sounds of a busy hospital. Her hand had somehow remained in Lee's throughout the night. It was, frankly, highly adorable. Though what was not adorable was the state of her hygiene. Her hair was a complete and total mess, and she was in need of a good shower after the messy activity of childbirth. She'd likely need to clean herself up before leaving the hospital, and without help. When recovering from pregnancy, you generally need to avoid another pregnancy.

Lee wondered how they would get food here. Would someone bring it to them, or would he have to go get it? He wouldn't go to find out yet, obviously; he didn't want Cynder to wake up and not see him. So he sat back, keeping his hand holding Cynder's, and waited for her to wake up. He wasn't sure how ling she'd sleep, but he could wait.

A few minutes passed before Cynder cracked her eyes open. She felt achey and sore, and just wanted to roll over and go back to sleep right away. But Lee was still there, holding her hand, and she opted for talking with him rather than snoozing. "Morning," she said to him with a smile, and wondered how the kids were doing. Would they be growing already? Probably. She was almost afraid to see how much they might have changed already.

Lee smiled at Cynder, and said softly, "Good morning." He stood up, stretching his muscles a little, and yawned. Then he leaned over Cynder and kissed her forehead, then her cheek. "How are you feeling?" He asked, his compassion showing in his eyes. He didn't have to say much. By this point, he could practically communicate with Cynder with his eyes.

"Tired," Cynder said, but her worry was likely showing on her face. How 'old' would Ashton and Cole be by now? Were the doctors freaking out about their growth, or were Dr. What and Dr. Jones keeping a handle on things? Or... what if something had gone wrong during incubation? She was anxious to see their children again.

Lee nodded, and saw beyond the simple word. She was probably anxious about the same things he was. What if their babies grew too quikcly? What woukd they look like? Lee didn't really want to think about it. He didn't say anything to Cynder, hut he was pretty sure the look on his face betrayed his feeling. That's when The doctor showed up. Lee didn't want to turn around. He just wanted to run away with his children and not listen to a stupid doctor or rules or anything but that probably wasn't due to this particular situation. That was just hiw he generally felt about everything.

Cynder looked from Lee to the doctor who had just entered. The female one. What was her name again? Did it matter? She just wanted to leave this place, take her children back to camp and try to raise them as best she could. The longer they stayed out in the mortal world, the more dangerous things could get...

Dr. Jones read through some notes on the clipboard she carried before speaking. "The Kelly twins are doing well, so don't worry about that. They were moved out of incubation several hours ago, and have spent most of their time asleep. Cynder, I suggest that you clean yourself up a bit in the bathroom to your right before you leave. There's a shower in there if you need one. Dr. What recommended that I make it explicitly clear that you avoid intercourse for at least three weeks while you recover, and recommends that you avoid pregnancy for a couple of months."

Cynder felt impatient. She did need a shower, but she wanted to leave.

Lee sighed happily. Thank goodness their children were alright. And he took the news about the sex calmly. Like they'd have time to do that with the children progressing so quickly. If they saw it, they'd think they saw their parents having sex for days. If anything were to scar them, that'd probably be it. "Are they fit enough for me to go see them?" He asked the doctor.

Dr. Jones nodded. "Yes, they are."

Cynder sat up all the way. She was going with Lee to see the kids, and not taking a shower first and joining him shortly after, right? That wouldn't make any sense at all.

Lee offered Cynder a hand. He wasn't sure how she'd be able to walk and stuff, after her legs had been held up in the air and stuff for so long. Heck, she might need a wheelchair. He wouldn't be sure until she acfually got off the bed, though, so he waited. The Doctor seemed to be watching carefully, which was good. She'd be able to tell if Cynder needed help.

Cynder stood up. Or at least tried to. The second her full weight was on her legs, her knees buckled and she keeled into Lee. Gods damn it.

Dr. Jones sighed. "I'll go get a wheelchair, then." She walked out the door and came back about thirty seconds later, pushing the same wheelchair that Cynder had been brought into the hospital with.

Lee caught Cynder when she fell, then heloed her into the wheelchair. He nodded his thanks to the doctor. Damn, he was being so civil. Why? Was he becoming soft? Maybe it was the children. He suppised he could blame everytging on his life from here on out on his children. When his teeth fell out, it would be because neither if them had brushed their own teeth. He had back pain? They must have done it! That would be quite entertaining.

Cynder didn't like being wheeled around in chairs. It made her feel incapable. It wasn't like she had much of a choice in the matter, though, since she couldn't walk. She sighed and resigned herself to being treated like an invalid for the rest of the day. At least she could go see Ashton and Cole now, right?

Dr. Jones figured she should let the husband push the wheelchair. He didn't seem like the type that would appreciate almost-strangers wheeling his wife around. It was mildly possessive, but some people were just like that. Martha walked out the door, leading the way to the room the babies were being kept in.

Lee grabbed the handles of the wheelchair and gripped the cracking black plastic tight, using it as a kind of channel for his stress, letting his apprehension out. Why did they have to make the handles out of unconfortable material? Why couldn't they put some cushioning on them or something? This was what he asked himself as they walked down the white hallways of the hospital, distracting himself from any other thoughts, like any prblems his children might be getting in the future.
