The Apartment Building

Ariana sat on the upturned sofa. Ha.

I pulled my face an inch or two back, then kissed Lee on the cheek. We couldn't just stand here all morning... without getting shot at, at least...

I nodded agreeing, burying my face into his shoulder. "Yes."

Da*n it.. Now, I was squished.

"MOM, get off!" I murmmered.

I yawned still feeling tired, school couldn't come fast enough, though. I wondered what was worse, school or this place.

I undressed and took off the makeshift splint and bandage, then climbed into the shower. I almost slipped, because my ankle suddenly gave out. But I caught myself on the wall - with my uninjured hand, thank the gods. It took longer to shower than normal, because I was using one hand for everything. I took the time to wash the strip of cloth I'd used as a bandage, wringing the blood out. I finished my shower, dried myself off and put the stupid uniform on. This... this skirt made it feel like I wasn't wearing proper clothes. I didn't want to go out there like this. It felt indecent.

"Hmm... no," Ariana answered. "Maybe if you weren't such a wh*%#, I'd reconsider."

Ariana looked at her fingernails, and then at the clock. It was nearly time to be leaving to take the brats to school.

I sighed, and walked out of the bathroom, feeling very underdressed. Blegh.

I laughed at the thought from Keri. "you could read...." I frowned, " Wait.... You can't"

"It can be a gift, and a curse" I smiled lightly. It really was though, there is some stuff I didn't want to hear in people's minds. Most of it is too disturbing to describe.

Ugh! Could she be any worse? That's a horrible idea to think, because she could be!

Ariana kept sitting there, wishing for once in her life that she was actually fat.

"... I feel awkward," I mumbled, and looked at the ground. It was cute that Lee was blushing... but still... a skirt...

I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her closer.

I sighed, and just waited.

I nodded. "I figured."I said softly.

"Yeah, well I try to think about it in a good way, but it really doesn't let me.."

I smiled when Keri kissed me. How preshhhhh. I knew he was trying to make me feel better, and it was helping.

My smile softened "I won't, I promise."

"Yeah, good!" I murdered, I'd be pretty mad of we weren't. Its a stupid idea."
