Soaring ((Bahaha.. what a bad topic name. Private:ML))

It was a rather boring evening in camp, and Leah was... well, bored, and not in the highest spirits. She sat on the edge of the dock, shoes off with her toes skimming the water, and she was rather homesick. This was a rare occurrence, being that her mother was nasty to her and stressful, but she longed for the familiar sense of normality that came with being at home. She also wondered where her boyfriend, Cameron had gotten to, but decided that he was probably fine and that maybe it was good they had spent some time separately.

Wistful, she settled her sandals down on the pier's ledge and stood, leaping off the dock only to be quickly supported by the current of the air. She barely ever allowed herself to be like this at camp, due to the fact that people tended to stare at her, but today she didn't care. She shot up about fifty feet, giggling in exhilaration and just coasted, the cool night air rousing goosebumps up and down her arms. It made her feel just a little bit better, if for a short while.

Cameron walks along the beach, because theirs nothing better to do. It was chilly out, so he was wearing jeans, a hoodie, and a pair of tennis shoes. He sighs softly, and pulls his hood over his head. He wondered where Leah was, he hadn't seen her for a long time. As he walks, Cam looks around at the beach, and the other people there.

As he looks something catches his eye. He turns back, and tries to make since of what he was seeing. He walks in the direction, of the thing, trying to tell what it was. As he moved closer, he could make out a person, levitating in mid air? The closer her got, the easier it became to tell who the other person was. It was Leah, his crazy, beautiful, amazing girlfriend, and daughter of Aelous.

He smiles, and watches her. It looked like she was having a lot of fun. He waited until, she was in a postion where, she was able to see him, and he waved. "Having fun?"he asks her, not sure if she would be able to read his lips from here.

Leah spotted Cameron almost immediately, far more alert when up in the sky than when rooted onto the ground by the everlasting force of gravity. She grinned when she saw him mouth his question to her, and she floated lightly down towards him. She landed quickly, her hair in windswept waves and her cheeks colored pink from the windchill.

"Hey," she breathed, adjusting to the pull of gravity again. "And by the way, it wasn't that much fun. I was bored, so I decided I might as well practice my powers. They've been working out pretty well, though." She grinned, stuck with a sudden thought. "I'm going to try something, don't freak out."

She closed her eyes for a moment, channeling her power into the winds, and adjusted the winds around Cameron, urging them to push him up, to no true avail. She frowned. "Hm. I need you to.... go jump off the pier," she stated, quite sure of herself at this point.

Cam grins, and walks over to Leah. "Hey"he says softly, as he wraps his arms around her. It felt nice, to talk to her. It felt like it had been a while, since he had talked to her. "Oh really, that was boring? Boring is having powers, allowing you to talk to animals. Actually, thats more like tourture, you do not want to know what animals think of, its not fun at all."

Hearing, Leah's statement, he blinks. Jump off the pier? Well, if whatever she wanted to do, didn't work well, all that would happen would be, him get wet. He shrugs, and says, "Okay". He chuckles, and takes of running, towards the pier, and jumps off the end.

Leah chuckled at his statement, suppressing giggles at his face when she told him to jump off of the pier. He ran, and mid-jump she manipulated the wind, staggering backwards. Lifting other people was definitely a bit more difficult than herself. She grinned, though, as the wind supported him, frozen mid-jump. "You need to move with it!" she called. "Otherwise you'll just be suspended there!"

She herself jumped up, manipulating the wind around herself and him at the same time. "Look." She turned to her side, shifting her weight almost as if she was swimming and moving effortlessly through the sky, the wind currents hugging her. She watched him, making she he wouldn't drop.

Cameron laughs, and extends his arms. He then moves towards Leah, in a way that looks a lot like swiming. It was a difficult task, but not impossible. So Cam decided to mix it up a bit, try some different types of strokes. He then starts to do something like a breaststroke.

When he reaches Leah, he circles around her, before planting a kiss on her cheek. "This is really fun!"he says to her. He chuckles, and rolls over, to his back, and starts to do something like the backstroke.

Leah giggles at Cameron's attempts to move, supporting him completely with the wind. Her head began to hurt though, and she frowned, wondering how long she could keep holding up the two of them. She blushed as he kissed her cheek and grins at him. "Told you it was fun," she stated, still supporting him but landing herself back on the dock. Her head rushed, and she stumbled, though managing to keep a hold on Cameron. "Woah... I guess I have to bring you down now," she called to Cameron, easing him over to the dock.

Cameron, looks at Leah a concerned look on his face. He rolls over, and propels his arms, in atempt to help, her get him back to the dock. When his feet, touch the dock he stands up. "That was so amazing!"he yells loudly. He had know idea why he yelled, but it felt nice.

Leah beamed at him, staggering a bit as she relinquished her hold on the winds, dizzy and a smidge lightheaded. "Woah.." she muttered, watching Cameron as he yelled. Well, she was glad he had enjoyed it, and she loved to know that she could use her powers on others.

Cameron smiles, and stands there watching Leah. He was in a really good mood, and nothing. NOTHING would be able to ruin it. He laughs, and sits down on the edge of the pier. His feet, barely skiming the water. Heh, the pier must be pretty high, or he's getting shorter.

Leah made her way over to Cam with a little effort, sitting down and fighting back the headache that threatened to hurt her mind. She sat down on the pier quickly, too quickly. Her bare foot missed the edge of the pier and she slipped, losing her balance and toppling right into the water. She stifled a screech, going under for a second before emerging, sputtering and cracking up in a frenzy unsuppressed laughter.

Cameron smiles, and watches Leah. Gosh, she is so amazing. When she falls off the dock, he jumps up, and dives in after her. When she comes up to the surface, he follows behind her. He looks at her and frowns,"Are you okay?"he asks her. He then looks at her, she looked okay, but she was probualy freezing, this water was pretty cold.

Leah looked up and blinked, chuckling wit the realization that Cameron had jumped in after her. "You do realize that I can swim, right?" she asked him, not catching his question. She grinned, pulling herself up and out of the frigid water onto the dock, headache still hitting her pretty hard. "Sorry, I got a little dizzy, I've never tried to lift someone else before," she admitted.
