They rode in relative silence, Riley allowing Salone to use him as a pillow as they made their way back to camp. The van pulled up and the driver began to lug their bags out of the back of the vehicle. Riley was about to wake Salone, resting his hand on her shoulder lightly before he took a look at the window and nearly jumped out of his skin. Was he hallucinating? Outside, dressed in a dapper suit similar to that which he wore back in Italy, was Mr. Wright, an apparent head of this so-called operation. Riley froze and shifted Salone gently off of him, trying not to wake her. He looked to Danielle. "Look who's here," he muttered, though he was sure she'd already realized. Crap. What did he want? How did he get here so quickly?

Salone was asleep but Danni wasn't. Her hand tightened on Riley's wrist and she looked at him wide eyed. Mr Wright hopefully couldn't see them through the tinted glass, it was FBI tinted glass and nearly impossible to see through. The person who originally looked like an FBI agent approached the man. Letting go of Riley, her hand crept down her leg, not taking her eyes off of him. Then she pulled her gun out of her boot leg and she felt a pit of dread beginning to build in her stomach. She checked the bullets in her gun. Celestial Bronze tipped. Then She noticed some one creeping up along side the car. Danni relaxed as she realized it was Ian. His body was curled and poised for an attack. Then the man talking to Mr. Wright spun and fired at Ian who in turn jumped out of the way... Danni flung the door open and fired at the fake FBI personnel.

Riley watched the pair interact, the FBI agent and Mr. Wright. At first, he was going to go outside and try and act as a mediator, but he figured the FBI agent would do his job, and he relaxed until Danielle realized that someone had appeared beside their car. It turned out to be Fabian. What was that guy doing? It was Riley's understanding that the guy was reasonable, but he didn't trust him. Anyone who would commit an act such as the one he did was not to be trusted, especially when the victim was an innocent person. He glanced at Salone's sleeping form and prayed she wouldn't get up and intervene before hopping out of the car after Danielle, sheathing a steel pocket knife that he'd found in the van's storage between the waistband of his boxers and his jeans. This way, if Wright was mortal, he'd have some defense.

"Greetings, Mr. Wright," Riley said, shutting and locking the van door behind him- but not so Salone couldn't escape from the inside. He kept his distance from the man. "What brings you here to Long Island on this fine winter's day?"

"Salutations, Mr. White... or, should I say, Mr. Riley Peterson. What a pleasure it is to meet you again with an understanding of your true identity. I believe I have met you before as Riley, but unfortunately you wouldn't remember that; you were a bit too drugged to recall anything. What fine abilities you possess, Riley, it's such a shame that they didn't manage to capture you, or your resilient friend, here, Danielle. Oh, imagine what information we could have gathered from her! Your girlfriend proved to be very useful to us, but she-" Riley cut him off, aiming his celestial bronze longsword at the man's throat.

"What do you want?" he spoke, his teeth gritted. He knew Danielle would want to kill him, but Riley sought knowledge. He needed to know what this was about. She thought their movement was too dangerous to pursue, but he disagreed. They couldn't let this go on, not if what he was gathering from this guy was some stretch of the truth.

Danielle noticed Riley get out of the car. Stupid, stupid, stupid. The fake FBI agent fired the gun at her again and the bullet missed her by mere inches, She fired again and the fake dropped to the ground holding his stomach. She reloaded her gun and walked up behind Riley, Standing next to him she cocked it.
"Do you know what this is Mr. Wright? A gun with Celestial Bronze and lead bullets, Kills humans and monsters alike. So I suggest you start talking. " She aimed the gun at his head. Ian was creeping up behind Mr. Wright just as Salone at up in the car, itching her head. Her lips formed a perfect "O." The situation might have been comical if it wasn't for the dire situation.

Mr. Wright just raised his eyebrow. "You think that your weapon scares me, girl? I am only but one tiny peasant in an large hierarchy of experienced plotters." He grinned coyly, his fingers twitching as his hand rested at his side.

Slowly, Riley lowered his sword, keeping his eyes trained on Mr. Wright. "I don't know, you don't really want to get hurt, do you, sir? You seem like you could be decent, if you weren't around tracking down demigods all the time. Are you going to talk, and tell us more about your operation? I'd love to hear about it."

The man just laughed, chortling and leaning back to gaze at the sky. "You can't begin to fathom the technology we have, boy. The knowledge we have gathered from you, the beautiful demigods that you are, is astounding. I am simply here to analyze your knowledge- which is astoundingly vague- and make sure that you have returned home safely. You are, in fact, some of the most interesting demigods we have encountered thus far," he spoke, turning around to notice Fabian creeping behind him. "You think you are smart, don't you?" he spoke, smirking at the boy. "We'll see. I hope to see you soon, children, but it is about time that I'll be departing. Good luck- you'll need it." He shot them a wink before quickly pressing a button he'd reached for inside of his pocket, and he shadow-traveled out... but not before releasing a fine, dark grey mist that diffused through the air in a concentrated cloud about four feet in diameter.

Too slow to get away, Riley inhaled the smoke, breathing in and choking instantly, collapsing to the floor. He writhed, eyes watering as he struggled to get away from its grasp... but he didn't have to. It'd already diffused away into the atmosphere. Riley's eyes watered and he coughed violently, his body trying to expel whatever chemical that had been from his system.

((sorry for not letting your characters do much but eh I figured confrontation wouldn't work too well in their states. they can escape the mist, by the way, if you want them to.))

In the end it was Ian who saved them from the stuff the guy had chucked into the air. He ran through mist and grabbed Riley and Danni around their waist. Pulling them over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes with an unnatural amount of strength, He was also remarkably fast. He gently deposited them both on the ground several yards away from the stuff. Salone flung open the car door and bolted to them. She fell on her knees next to Riley and Danni, avoiding eye contact with Fabian. She smoothed Riley's hair and then Danni's.
"You die on me, I will raise you and kill you again. Then Dance on your grave."
Fabian couldn't help but let out a small snort... he had heard that promise so many times.
Salone looked up at him her eyes flashing amber, "Don't push your luck cat boy."
He held his hands up in surrender.

Danni was still coughing and she growled something in Italian. Fabian looked concerned and then grinned.
"Uhh..." He said briefly before translating. "She said Shut up."
"In those exact terms?"
"Nope." He answered as Danni slugged him in the knee cap with her good arm. Salone bit back a grin, count on Danni to swear like a sailor when needed. Danni got up slowly before attempting to slug Fabian in the gut properly. But Fabian's hand caught her fist.
"STUPID! STUPID! DON"T YOU DARE SNEAK UP ON ME AGAIN! EVER FABIAN BLACK!"
Salone squirmed her way between the two. "Now, beating up Fabian is my job."
Then she swiveled around and slugged the Son of Bast in the nose, breaking it. She hauled Riley and Danni to their feet.

Fabian pinched his nose between his forefinger and thumb stopping the blood flow. Salone turned her back to them and examined the dead body. The faint bell noise was starting to ring in the back of her head again.
"I wonder..." She stretched out her hand and the dead man's body stirred. It got slowly to it's feet before staring at Salone with milky colored eyes.
"Now take the bags to their correct cabins and then go see to in that your burned at the pyre." The zombie shuffled off and did what it was told.
"I am never going to get used to that," Danni muttered and Fabian agreed softly. Salone gave Riley a crooked grin and walked over to him..
"It is slightly freaky."

"I feel much better now, thanks for asking." She looked at the back of her hand checking for traces of Fabian's blood. She wiped her hand on the back of her pants before slipping her hand into his. She twisted around and saw Danni and Ian having a conversation. Danni offered Fabian a package of tissues and he took them wiping up the blood and wincing slightly. Salone turned back around and whistled with her two fingers.
"Oh," she said after Hound didn't show up. "Jance was borrowing her... Well then... Than means I am all yours and up for shenanigans."
She kept pace with Riley and wiggled her eyebrows at him.

Riley took her hand, raising an eyebrow at his proposition. "Shenanigans? What kind of shenanigans?" he asked, laughing and looking at her but glancing back at Danielle and Fabian. It was kind of weird how they were all buddy-buddy, but Riley figured there was more to the story. He still didn't like Fabian. He liked Danielle as a friend, and he trusted her, but he didn't understand why Fabian was so warmly welcomed. It was almost like there was something romantic there... maybe? He couldn't tell. Disregarding it he turned back to Salone, moving into camp with her and leaving Fabian and Danielle in the dust.

"It's so nice to be back here," he breathed, on a different note. "Do you want to bother waiting for them?" he asked, glancing back again for a second. "I kind of don't. Nice move there, by the way," he murmured, grinning at her before his expression softened and became more serious. At this point, Danielle and Fabian were far enough away; they wouldn't hear their conversation and they might not even see them.

"What's up with that whole situation, though?" he asked her, hoping he didn't hit a sore spot. "I know... all of that happened, but now he's just forgiven for everything he did to you? Danielle seemed pretty chummy with him, and he seems like he's trying to do good, but..." Riley trailed off, the words he'd left unspoken having been pretty obvious. But... he did slice open your face and leave you to die, you know. Riley wasn't one to be graphic.

"Oh, be creative." She stood on her tip toes and kissed him briefly. She glanced back at Danni and Fabian when Riley asked if they should leave them. "I don't think Danni would care, she's to busy threatening him with a bullet through his skull." She grinned at his punching comment. "Well then, I think I could have smashed his face in if I didn't have self restraint."


Salone was quiet while he said his little speech. Taking in every detail and she looked Riley directly in the eye, "Here is the thing about Danni, She is a spy before she is ever a friend. Just because you trust her doesn't mean she completely trust you. She'd like nothing better to wring his scrawny neck. As to your unasked question, as long as he plays nice, I will do also. Any other questions?"

"Heh," Salone said quietly, "I have gotten out of many sticky conversations."
Danni and Fabian had vanished completely from sight and sound now. Salone tugged at the edge of the slightly smaller shirt, a strip of skin was visible. "Considering your recent actions I might say you do have some ounce of restraint."
They had stopped walking at some distance and Salone had somehow managed to get herself backed up against a tree. His hand slipped around her waist and she whispered before he kissed her, "Not in that kind of situation of course."
Her arms snaked up around her neck and she kissed him.

((Oops...I meant to put HER slightly smaller shirt))

"Oh, I was drugged, I am innocent because I had no control over myself and through that excuse, not my fault."
Salone arched her eyebrow and let out a small incredulous laugh, "You, Riley Peterson, think Fabian escaped that battle unscathed besides a broken nose? You doubt my abilities. I never meant to kill him... only maim or seriously injurer." Her lips turned upwards at the small joke before her tone grew serious. "Ask him why he can no longer write with his left hand or why he walks with a slight limp when exhausted."
But she was distracted when Riley pressed the kiss to her jawbone... it would seem... she had issues concentrating when Riley touched her.

Riley shook his head. "I didn't think you let him off that easily," he spoke softly, his fingers tracing random lines on her side. "I wouldn't doubt the fact that you got back at him... I'm just saying that you were incredibly strong not to kill him, or hurt him even worse, or allow someone else to do it for you," he murmured, his lips close to her ear, now. "He would have deserved it," Riley wanted to say, but he didn't. He didn't want to talk about Fabian anymore and he knew it must take something for Salone to be around him; he figured there was no point making her dwell on the matter.

"You're incredibly strong in general, though," Riley whispered. "You beat me at sparring- even though I totally went easy on you. I couldn't hurt a girl," he spoke sarcastically, laughing lightly and pulling away from her and looking into her eyes again.

"While some of us lack self control in other places we must have control on the battle field or we would be dead." Salone muttered, "But given the opportunity I will knock him flat on his back, no doubt about it."
She could feel the heat radiating off of Riley and she was having trouble connecting brain waves as thoughts. She played with a lock of hair on the back of his head as her arms were still around his neck.
"How do you know I wasn't going easy on you?" She asked, fiendishly. "Nerve stimulation is an easy way to win a battle."

"Oh, I'm pretty sure I don't have a weakness." Salone said softly, unlinking her fingers from around his neck as he pressed up right against her. She let her fingers trail over his bare arms, over the fabric of his shirt, and traced patterns around his jawline. With her thumb she wiped of something from the corner of his mouth. She showed him the pale pink color.
"You have lip-gloss on your face. Now what will all the other girls say to that if we ever get back to camp?"
Riley's fingers ran up her back, raising goose bumps. It was the pleasant kind of tickling but Salone got the sneaking suspicion of what he was doing.
"Wrong spot, I am ticklish on the bottom of my feet and the backs of my legs."

Salone made a face, "Girls... they annoy me... rather the girly mortal ones that squeal at everything..."
In truth they did drive her up the wall, tittering as she walked by or any shabbily dressed girl for that matter. But that was when she was younger probably twelve or so and still living with her mom. Then Riley kissed her again, the slow and delicious kind that turned the victims insides into pudding. When he pulled away she buried her head in the crook of his neck, inhaling his scent... it was a warm and comforting smell... with the distinctive smell of boy... When she looked up at him a slow grin spread across her face, Riley had effectively removed all the lip-gloss from her face and transferred it to his mouth.
"Oops." She said and the glint in her eye said she was not at all sorry. "I would prefer not to sleep out side... but then there is the issue of the Egyptian cabin... maybe I shall sleep on the roof. Can Harpies climb?"
