Blowing off some steam... (PRIVATE: Anime)

Danni grabbed Mr. Peanut from Salone's bed and chucked it as hard as she could with her left hand at Riley's face. Knowing Danni and her amazing aim, she knew Danni wouldn't miss Riley's face.
After throwing the stuffed animal Danni crossed her arms and glared at Riley.
"Don't you dare. So help me, I will string you up the flag pole by your boxer shorts."
Salone was trying to stop laughing but she couldn't. She laughed even harder when she pictured the scene... somehow Salone could see him in Winnie the Pooh shorts...
Salone opened a drawer in her chest of drawers and pulled out a Hersey bar and offered it to Danni.
Danni gave Riley the evil eye while she ate it.

Danni made herself go abruptly calm and that was what terrified Salone. When Danni was able to go from one mood to the next without much thought. Heck, it was even more terrifying when a mortal could pull it off.
"It's fine," She said rolling her shoulder. "I just have a scar were the bullet hit." She tapped a small silver circle scar right beneath Danni's shoulder blade. Her expression sobered even more at Riley's next question.
"Yeah, of course you can. I'd imagine you would have questions." She crumpled the wrapper and put it in her pocket. Salone sat down behind Danni and played with her loose hair.

Danni smacked Riley across the knee caps with the palm of her hand.
"Did you ever wonder were Salone learned all of those pressure points?" Danni asked lightly. Her fingers finding a spot above his knee. "This one makes your entire leg go numb, if you continue to ask stupid questions."
Salone snorted and braided Danni's hair.
"Beware Riley, Danni does have some pretty nasty Ex's. Apparently she can be quiet charming."

Salone suppressed a grin and piled all of the braids on top of Danni's head changing the topic.
"Maybe some feathers and glitter." She teased gently and Danni rolled her eyes. Then Danni caught a glimpse of Salone's bruised knuckles.
She snatched Salone's hand, "What happened?"
"The bunk-bed attacked me, luckily I survived the encounter." Salone winked at Riley over Danielle's head.

"Riley," Salone said while Danni busted up laughing, all of the braids came loose. She flung a pillow at him and missed.
Danni recovered and asked, "You were playing?" Her tone soft.
"Yeah." Salone leaned forward and briefly pressed her forehead in between Salone's shoulder blades.
"Why?"
"Do I need a reason for everything I do?"
"For me? Yes."
"Nosy."
"What ever fang face."
Salone slugged Danni lightly. Danni grinned.

Salone looked at Riley and offered a small smile.
"I shall be back, I need to use the restroom." She stood and walked to the bathrooms. Danni watched her go.
"What did you need to ask me?" Danni finally asked, playing with the dog tags around her neck. Her fun laughing demeanor it seems, had walked out the door with Salone. She seemed tired and her fingers tightened on the tags.

Riley smiled back at Salone, though it was forced. She left the room and it was obvious that Danielle felt it too. He was trying to look cheerful for his own sake, because he didn't want to be upset, but he was putting up more of a facade for Salone. She'd been through enough, and she didn't need to deal with him being all angsty. He looked at Danielle, who looked like all of her happiness had dissipated as her nerves had set in as soon as Salone had left, similar to him. He took a deep breath and sat down on the floor in front of Danielle, because he didn't like being up higher than she was.

"Look," he began, praying he wouldn't screw things up. "I really, really don't want to be an ass here. I know that you're going off to war and that things are insane and that I'm probably the least of your worries, but I need to know. I had a dream last night, and I remembered a lot of what had happened to me, and I saw what this organization is doing, and-" Riley cut himself off. He was wasting time explaining all of this. "You're going to war against them, aren't you? I understand why you would lie to me, because I'm so damn impulsive, but... I feel like I can't just sit here and do nothing after everything that has happened. What can I do to help this? I know going out into the front lines of battle probably isn't feasible... hell, I don't know how you're doing it. But there has to be something I can do," he insisted, swallowing. He thought for a couple of seconds before his mouth spoke without his brain consenting. He looked at her hands, wrung around her dog tags tensely. HE thought about Salone, who'd seemed to afraid.

"It's basically a suicide mission, isn't it?"

His voice was soft, quiet. He regretted the words almost immediately as he spoke them. She didn't need a reminder of the danger of her work. He had no doubt that Danielle was strong, and if anyone could survive, it'd be her, but it was still a ludicrous idea, her going to battle against an organization of this size. He couldn't understand her bravery, but he respected her for it. It was so incredible, but so lamentable, in a way.

Danielle closed her eyes and listened to Riley, pressing her finger tips together.
"You can help by keeping an eye on Salone. She was a part of a genetic experiment that my people have no clue about. For all we know she could-" She paused for a moment looking for an example. "Be expecting a kid or suddenly having a clone walking around."
They were both pretty lame and extreme examples, but both very possible. She could not press how important it was to find out what the hospital did to Salone into Riley's head. His next sentence made her wince and the feeling came back stronger than ever. Something bad is going to happen.
"I don't know, all I know is just that there is going to be a lot of death and destruction, even more if I don't go."
Danni needed Riley to understand on her level, a cool unemotional level. One that takes no prisoners.

"Thanks Riley," Danni said looking at her hands. Now she was able to relax for the most part. Danni played with the edge of her jeans. "You don't know how much it means to me. It's not all bad, the people are great and it's only six months...."
She trailed off, not sure what to say next. One of Salone's bunk mate's ferret ran across her toes to spare her from coming up with anything. Danni snagged the ferret to get a better look.
"It's a martin," Danni said incredulously. "See the tiny horns on the top of his head?"
A martin was a magical weasel that looked an awful lot like a ferret, except it had not as bad of a temper and they were extremely rare.

"A martin," Danni said, flopping the martin on his back and tickling his belly. "They are said to bring good luck."
"He's Jade's Martin," Salone said quietly, she had come back in just in time to see them capture the tiny creature. "He bites."
"Ouch," Danni dropped the Martin. The ferret like creature scurried and hid under Fabian's bed. It bared it's tiny needle teeth and hissed.
"Told you," Salone sat down next to her, pulling a band-aid out of her pocket. The funny thing about Salone is she always seemed to have band-aids. She put it on Danni's bit finger.

Salone grinned, "You have never ever been properly bitten until you have been bitten my the love bug."
Danni rolled her eyes and Salone noticed Danni's cheeks turn faintly pink.
"Worst pick up line ever, fang face." Danni responded poking her friend in the stomach.
Salone wriggled out of the way, rubbing the spot in her belly were she had been poked.
"What ever flower power." Salone stated, sliding away across the floor out of Danni's reach, behind Riley.
"tomorrow, I decided I should say bye to my dad before I leave." Danni said sobering.

Salone wrapped her arms around Riley's neck.
"Baha! I have captured you." She pressed a kiss to the back of his neck before leaning over his shoulder. "Now surrender! There is now way you can get me to say 'Please oh please be my prisoner.'"
Danni bounced over and sat in front of Riley. "Can I help tickle him?" She asked with a angelic look on her face.
Salone gave Riley a naughty face, "I dunno..." She trailed off. Danielle grinned.

Almost as soon as Riley grabbed her, Salone attempted to wriggle away, she was deathly ticklish on the back of her legs. Bad enough Salone was dumb enough to take her shoes off by the door and now she was bare foot. But Salone kept a tight grip on Riley so she wouldn't slip.
Danni busted up laughing before grabbing for one of Salone's ankles.
"Oh no you don't." Salone muttered, kicking her leg up out of Danni's reach.
I guess there are perks for having a six foot tall boyfriend, Salone thought.

Salone shrieked when Riley started spinning, a shriek of delight. After he stopped Salone had an idea, she hung onto him with one arm and with her other she tickled his ribs. Danni danced around trying to catch Salone's feet.
Then Salone started coughing again, it wasn't as bad as on the plane, just a light cough.
"Can't... breath..." She stated with some difficulty between laughing and coughing.
