Reading the Books

Leah had looked up at him, and noticed him speak. She wanted to ask him so much, but she decided to allow him the floor first. "What is it?" she asked him.

"I really like you Leah"he says to her. He then smiles weakly at her.

Leah blushed, looking away for a second. "I..." she was going to say she liked him, but she needed an answer. "Cameron... before, when I kissed you... you didn't seem completely ecstatic," she grimaced slightly before looking into his eyes. "I need you to be honest with me... please." She pleaded with him. "I can't have you saying you like me because I'm deaf, or you feel bad for me, or... I don't know. I don't want to play games, or be lied to anymore."

Cameron sighs, "Leah I like you because your you, your beautiful, hilarious and just plain amazing"he says to her, looking straight into her eyes. "I don't like you because I feel bad, that's just plain mean and I'm not like that". He then reaches out and hugs her.

Leah hugged him back, decided to trust him and not to press her point. She wasn't used to being able to trust people, and this was nice, even if it did make her feel uneasy. "I'm sorry I doubted you," she told him, though if she was to be honest with herself she would have thought it strange if she hadn't.

"It's okay"Cameron says to her. He then stays there hugging her, it felt nice.

Leah smiled, kissing him on the cheek before pulling away, glancing down at the table full of books. "I should probably try to learn something, although I doubt I'll get very far..."

Cameron picks up and book and opens it. He then starts to read it.

Leah returned to her seat across from Cam, picking up a book and trying to read it. She leaned back in her chair, which was rather comfortable, and after a few minutes she drifted off into an early state of sleep, curling on her side in the chair with the book going limp in her hands.

Cameron smiles at Leah. He then yawns, and soon he to is asleep. Except for when he falls asleep, he falls on the floor and lays there asleep.

Leah jumped to an awakening quickly, her ears sensing the vibrations from Cameron hitting the floor. She glanced around frantically, looking for the source of the noise. Oh... it was only Cameron. Stifling a laugh at his appearance, she once again picked up the sin language book and began to read it, stopping ever few minutes to check her surroundings.

A few minuets later Cameron wakes up to find himself laying on the floor. He rubs his head, and sits up. Slowly he picks up the book. He stands and sits in the chair, and opens the book.

Laughing, Leah smirked as Cameron woke up. "Someone get tired?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

Cameron rubs his eyes once more. "Yeah, you could say that"he mumbles. He then looks down at his book, and attempt to read it.

"You know Cameron, if you're so tired maybe you should go get some rest. We've been out all day and you've been tired since... I don't know, a while." Leah chuckled, glancing at the book she had in her hands.

Cameron smiles lightly,"Nah I'm awake"he says to her. He then keeps reading the book, actually learning something from this book.

"Alright." Leah shrugged, going back to reading the books. She picked up a few things, occasionally stopping to try the words herself. She wasn't sure how much she liked sign language yet, but she kept reading regardless.

Finishing the book, Cam sets it down on the table. He then starts to practice the alphabet, in sign language. It was difficult, but not to difficult.

Leah continues to read the book, completely immersed at this point. There were signs for everything... it was a bit overwhelming.

Cameron countines practing the alphabet. He looks at Leah, "Look, I've gotten it down"he says happily as he keeps signing.

Leah continues to read, not noticing him speak. She hold the book with one hand while she signs a few things with the other in concentration.

Leah looked up. "It's not that hard, right?" she smiled slightly, signing her name at her side for practice.

Leah grinned. "Yeah, it's just sort of annoying... I think I'd despise it if I was forced to talk like this all day."
