The Apartment Building

Ariana finally started crying. The pain was too great, especially when coupled with the fact that this was all extremely emotionally taxing. Lee really was one sadistic b#stard.

Well, I didn't have to worry about her being able to punch me, now, so I scooted a bit closer. I didn't want to get blood on this nice, soft blanket, though. I might actually decide to keep this. It wasn't like my mother was going to need it.

Ariana cringed, and cried some more, and tried to hit Lee or push him away or anything, really, but her arms were rendered pretty useless now.

"Ew," I remarked. Extracted eyeballs were definitely not pleasant to look at.

"Beg for what?" she spat through her tears. "For mercy? For help? Just finish it already," she growled, and tried to kick Lee with her sole remaining leg before it was rendered useless.

I wondered what people would think when they eventually found the body. Well, two bodies, I supposed. That creep in the hallway was most certainly going to die as well.

"No," Ariana snarled, and attempted to punch Lee in the face with the stub of her arm. It surely wasn't going to turn out well, but she had to attempt it.

I wasn't sure that Lee could actually get her to do that before she bled to death, really. And then I realized... my father, when he inevitably showed up to take my mother's soul to the Underworld, was not going to be pleased at all. Sh#t.

Ariana just started screaming. This was a level of pain that no person should be able to withstand.

Gods, that was a shrill noise. I covered my ears in an attempt to rescue my poor hearing, but my mother's screaming still pierced my eardrums like a knife. If she kept doing this, I was going to get a headache.

The skin on Ariana's face tore, about a half inch on either side. If she were to survive this encounter, the scars from that would have caused her to resemble the Joker a bit. But everyone in the room knew that she wouldn't live nearly long enough for that to heal. There was an awful lot of blood welling up in her mouth, now, and she had to turn her head to the side to keep from choking on it. She had to stop screaming, too, to keep from inflicting even more pain onto herself. The only reason Ariana didn't just let herself choke to death was so that she could aim a few more verbal jabs at her tormentors.
"Do you think this is how Cynder will die?" she asked, even though it was damn painful to talk, and only through force of will did she keep herself from cringing with every syllable. "Bleeding on the ground, a knife to her face, being told to beg for you to save her?"

I didn't want it to show on my face that my mother's comment disturbed me, and tried to think of other things instead. An idea occurred to me, that perhaps we could set up the killings so that we could frame the creep in the hallway for my mother's murder, and make it look like she'd put up enough of a fight that he'd died of his wounds. That was highly possible, though Lee would have to not dismember the guy.

Ariana wasn't sure if her taunting was doing anything besides just pissing him off more, but she wasn't going to stop. She ignored Lee's last two sentences completely, and managed a sick-looking sort of smile. "Not if you're dead, first. Or maybe you'll be broken next to her, barely alive, and they'll make you watch everything," she grinned, and managed a stifled laugh. "Gods, I hope they make you watch."

"Shut up," I ordered with a glare, and threw a fallen carrot at my mother. I didn't like this turn of conversation at all. I'd much preferred when she was just crying hopelessly.

The carrot hit Ariana in her now-empty eye socket. I was beyond words with the stupid b!tch, so I just calmly increased the pain in all of her wounds, about 50% more than the normal amount of pain.

Ariana flinched at the carrot, and cringed even more at the new onslaught of increased pain. Her tear ducts were out of saline by this point, so she just lay there, face contorted into a ghastly expression, made all the more horrid by the wounds marring her. But despite the hurt, she managed to spit out a few more broken words. "She'll look just like this, you know."

I pulled my new blanket a bit closer around myself, and peeked over into the hall to make sure the creep hadn't woken up and managed to escape. He was still there, unconscious.

Ariana squirmed in pain, and the screaming started again, even louder and more shrill than before.

I covered my ears again and winced, then looked back over at Lee and my mother. There was blood getting all over the place, now, and I scooted a bit away so that my lovely blanket wouldn't be stained. It wouldn't show much, since it was a dark gray, but dried blood tended to smell funny after a while, and I didn't like doing laundry more than I had to.

On its slow journey towards Ariana's heart, the knife cut through one of her lungs. Ariana started coughing, interrupting her screams of pain, and droplets of fresh blood dotted the floor in front of her face. She felt her energy waning. She was going to die, very soon.

I was feeling a little paranoid, so I looked over into the hallway again. Well, f#ck.

Justin opened his eyes after several minutes, and found that the back of his heels hurt like hell and that his feet weren't exactly working. He tried to pull himself away using his arms, like some sort of crawler zombie.

I got up with a sigh, and walked over to kick the creep in the face. His head slammed into the wall, but, unfortunately, he didn't pass out again.

Khione raised her head up a bit, she heard screams comming from down the hallway. It obviously had something to do with Ariana. Maybe she had gotten her kids back and she was torturing the little creeps. Khione thought that she should probably go check on the problem, but she really didn't want to get up from her comfort. She was watching the very attractive man from Man vs. Food, and hoping one day she would be able to get with him. Sister, or attractive man? She thought about this for a moment, then she shrugged deciding on the man. Her sister could deal with... whatever was happening to her, or her children. If something was happening to her.. well, it might be something Khione might not want to walk in on, if you know what she means. Knowing Ariana, her children probably came and killed her, but ha. That's funny, Khione didn't believe those kids could kill her for one second. That's just funny... Haha. Khione went back to the popcorn she was eating and the very attractive man she was watching on the television.

More screaming, but this time, it was a mans voice. Over the television, Khione heard screaming about Ariana begging for, her lover, or some sort. Oh dear lord, was Robert over there? Maybe, she brought someone else home, or a new god. Tomorrow, Khione would ask her, and she would also pat her on the back and congratulate her on getting over Thanatos. But, they were making alot of noise and Khione was enjoying her time with the man from man vs. food.
"ARIANA, I KNOW YOU'RE HAVING A GOOD TIME. BUT KEEP IT F*CKING DOWN. I CAN HEAR YOU OVER THERE!" Khione shouted, then turned the volume up on her television laughing. She started to throw popcorn at the television.
