Compliments? Li-Mei felt almost flattered, but suspicion still weighed heavily upon her. Should she tell him her name? There didn't seem to be any harm in it. "It's..." wait, did Americans give their first names or last names? She couldn't judge by the name the boy had given her as his own, as she couldn't tell whether 'Capsian' was a first or last sounding sort of name. She vaguely felt like it should be a first name, and decided to go with that. "... Li-Mei."

"Li-Mei. What a pretty name." Caspian said, smiling. He didn't really think the name was pretty, but figured the girl would prefer to have another compliment. He sent another wave of his powers to her as he took a step closer to her. "Where do you come from, Li-Mei?" He asked.

It wasn't like she was about to tell this stranger 'oh, yeah, I come from a secret Shaolin monastery that's been hidden for thousands of years', so she told him an almost-truth. "Er... Shanghai." Yeah. That'd work. And if he questioned it too much, she could always knock him out and run for it. He didn't look very strong. Wait, why was he moving closer? Li-Mei was mildly uncomfortable about this.

"Oh, so you're Japanese?" Caspian asked, smiling some more. He moved closer yet. The space between them was dwindling, now barely a few feet. Pretty soon, Caspian would put his powers on full-force to really woo this gir, right into his arms.

Li-Mei frowned. In general, the Chinese did not like being mixed up with the people of Japan, a country that they had a long history of war with. Ignorant American. "Shanghai is in China," she corrected, tone rather cold now. He'd really pissed her off now, why wasn't she saying 'later, loser' and running off yet? And why did he keep stepping forwards? Why wasn't she stepping away?

Caspian shrugged. "Whatever. They're basically the same, anyways, right?" And, in this, Caspian showed his true stupidity. Not only was he unaware that China and Japan were seperate countries, but had let his ignorance show through to a native. On top of this, in his confusion over the statement, he stopped using his powers. Possibly, this was the only thing keeping Li-Mei from punching his face in. If that were so, he was about to be royally f*cked, and not in the way he'd like.

Caspian, not expecting to be attacked, fell over and hit the ground hard. He crabked up his powers, focusing in on the girl. "You... you hurt me. That's not very nice. You must feel kind of bad... will you help me up?" He said, wshing he had the ability to charmspeak. Hopefully his words plus his powers would increase suugestability. Even if she didn't come over to help him, maybe she would forget about hating him.

What, now she felt sorry? Was it that time of the month already, or had she actually done something worth feeling bad over? "You have limbs, get up yourself," she huffed and crossed her arms, still facing away from Caspian. Stupid, stupid boy didn't even know how to pick himself up out of the dirt... well, she had pushed him pretty hard, maybe he broke his coccyx or something.

Caspian sighed and stood up. He walked up to Li-Mei, considering wrapping his arms around her waist before realizing that would probably get him an elbow in his face. He'd dealt with girls who rejected his advances beforez but none of them had been this strong. He would have to be very careful. He went around to in front of Li-Mei, smiling apologetically. "I'm sorry. I don't know much about Asia; I've never actually been there, but I'd love to hear about it." He prompted, keeping his powers active, like a little buzz in her ear saying she should like him. He could already feel his energy draining a bit. That wasn't very good.

Why were cute boys always so ignorant? Caspian was definitely good-looking, though the color of his eyes was vaguely unsettling (she assumed that the red was either from contact lenses or the result of sinister parentage). And he did seem (probably) genuinely sorry for not knowing much about simple geography. She sighed and uncrossed her arms, opting instead to rest her hands on her hips in a vaguely unamused fashion. "China is big. Japan is made of tiny islands." There, that should be explanation enough.

Wow, this girl was a real conversationalist. Caspian nodded as if that was sonething he'd heard before and was just remembering it. "Oh, that sounds familiar," he said, and looked at her clothes again. "Were you out jogging?" He asked. It looked like her clothes were sticking to her skin a bit; very form fitting. Very attractive.

"Yes." It didn't escape Li-Mei's attention that Caspian wasn't very good at maintaining eye contact. Wasn't eye contact an important thing in the states? In Eastern countries, women generally didn't maintain it when speaking with men -- a rule that Li-Mei did not respect in the least. Should she mention it? Would that be untactful? Probably.

"That must be what keeps your body looking so damn good." Caspian said, moving quite close to li-Mei witha quick step, and put a hand on her side. "Has anyone ever tokd you how drop-dead sexy you are?" He whispered in her ear. His other hand was already on her waist, amd he pulled her towards him. His powers were going full-blast now, and he had a mild headache; hopefully it would be worth it.

W-WHAT? THIS WAS HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE. Li-Mei felt anger above all other emotions, so much so that she didn't even notice whatever effects Caspian's powers were having on her. Her first reaction was to step back, but that didn't result in enough distance between them for a good punch or a kick, as he was sort of holding onto her. So she settled for using her elbow (the elbow actually happens to be the hardest point of the body). If it hit, it would smash into the left side of Caspian's face with enough force to fracture his cheekbone, and possibly actually break the skin as well.

Earlier, Caspian had predicted that she would elbow him in the face if he were to hold her from behind. That must have been somewhere in his subconscious, as he was able to react to her movement faster than he would have expected. His immediate reaction was to duck, but in his haste he seemed to forget (though it is arguable that he did it on purpose) to take his hands off of her, and they strayed along her body. Caspian hadn't quite ducked quicj enough and Li-Mei's strije caught him partiallyon the head, with enough force to make hin stumble. With his arms still around Li-Mei (now near her upper legs), he didn't quite fall back, but found himself off-blanace with his face a few inches from Li-Mei's knees.

Li-Mei felt absolutely violated. How f#cking dare this creep cling onto her like that? Or, or say those things to her uninvited?! It was disgusting. And now she couldn't even knee him in the face properly because he was holding onto her legs, so she punched downwards at the crown of his head. If this one hit, it could possibly break his skull or some of his vertebrae.

Caspian looked up to see a fist flying at his face, and let go of Li-Mei's legs, falling backwards. This ended up making it so that his body was traveling at a certain speed downward, making it so that Li-Mei's strike didn't deal as much damage as it would have. It also hit in Caspian's gut rather than his head, which caused a few of his abdominal muscles to bunch and then quickly loosen, tearing some of them. He also puked, but it didn't go very far because he was completely on his back. The natural reaction was to sit up, but with the amount of pain in his abdominal area, and the tearing that had occurred, he simply couldn't.

Oh, gross. He'd thrown up. At least none of it had gotten on her. She stepped away from the smelly mess that was Caspian, and struggled with a moral dilemma. It was unethical to beat a opponent who was so greatly outmatched and already fallen, but on the other hand, he was a complete d#uchebag who totally deserved it. Maybe just one more good hit, and she'd leave him there in the dirt to rot. She stepped forwards again, body turned at a bit of an angle so that she could incorporate momentum into her kick. Right foot first, next to the fallen boy's shin, left foot swinging in a shallow arc, twisting her body slightly, and then the blow should connect right between the legs...

Caspian, of course, could do nothing to stop this blow. It would have been helpful for him if he'd passed out before the blow, but the Fates just weren't on the side of the assholes today (or, as it happened to be, the side of the dicks). He felt a pain he could not compare to anything that had happened previously in his life. His brother, a master at the art of torture, had never been able to produce this much of a response from Caspian. Of course, he only felt it for a few, long moments before passing out from the extreme pain.

Kelsier, intent on finding more pesky little demigods, happened upon two of them fighting in the Strawberry Fields. He watched from afar to see the last two blows of the fight; one to the stomach and the second to the groin. He knew, from those two strikes, that this girl was an incredible fighter. She controlled her body far too well to be anything but. Before he was even admiring her for beauty, he was enamored by her fighting prowess. Obviously, this meant he needed to kill her before she became a point of affection to him, or rose up as another prominent name in the camp. So, he casually summoned one of his spears and threw it directly at her center. He threw it full-force, but wasn't really expecting it to hit.

There, he was nice and passed out and maybe something would crawl out of the woods and eat him. No, wait. He was a complete creep, but did he deserve to die for what he'd done? Killing people was wrong, was passively allowing them to be eaten also morally corrupt? Probably. Before she could decide on what to do, Li-Mei caught sight of a metallic gleam out of the corner of her eye. A spear. She knew how to take care of this, and reacted with pure muscle memory. She shifted to the side so that the spear just barely missed her, grabbed it out of the air as it passed her, and threw it with all her strength back in the direction it had come from. This was one of the seventy-two skills she'd practiced endlessly for most of her life: dànzǐ gōng, the projectile skill. Catching javelins, spears, even arrows, and perfecting the art of throwing them.

Kelsier smiled as he watched her movements. They seemed well-practiced, and he had to think for a moment to determine what fighting style she was in. His choices were narrowed when he saw that she was Asian. Chinese, most likely. Then, he remembered; Shaolin. He didn't have time to get much further before he had to catch the spear coming towards him. He took it rather simply; he stepped to the side and grabbed it when it came by. He wondered if this girl would take this as an instant threat to herlife. If possible, Klesier would find it interesting to learn the Shaolin practices before killing her. So, he put the spear into the ground and held his arms out to his sides, hoping to give off a sense of peace.

Li-Mei's fists clenched and she nearly screamed at this newcomer. She had had it up to here with this nonsense today. "What the F#CK do you THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" she yelled across the patch at him, nails digging into her palms despite their shortness. "You can't just THROW SHIT AT PEOPLE LIKE THAT!" She was about two seconds away from striding over there and punching him in the head until he passed out, which shouldn't take long. All she'd wanted was a nice, peaceful jog, but noooo, there had to be creeps and maniacs running around in the fields.

Kelsier laughed, enjoying her little tantrum. "I watched you take that littoe stick down, and was merely performing a test. A test of your abilities. It also revealed to me that you were, more than likely trained by the Shaolin." Kelsier smiled trying his hardest be civil. He wanted to gut this btch amd feed her to the sharks, but she had important information that he wanted. If he knew the proper way to bow to show respect he would. Howeverz if he did it wrong he would only be disrespecting her, which would not get him the info he was looking for. She was most likely already on guard simply by the fact that he had discovered that she was Shaolin.

"AND THAT MEANS YOU CAN TRY TO KILL ME ALL OF A SUDDEN?!" she was going to LOSE HER F#CKING SHIT IN ABOUT ONE SECOND IF THINGS DIDN'T NORMALIZE REAL QUICK. She didn't care that this guy had induced that she was Shaolin-trained -- it should be fairly obvious to anyone who studied the martial arts, though it would be a problem if he noticed any signs that she wasn't from the monasteries known to the public. She heavily doubted that he was well-versed enough in Shaolin-specific training to figure that out, though. Wait, no, she should care about that, since it meant he'd studied enough sorts of fighting styles to recognize hers, and could be a dangerous opponent if he decided to attack her again...
