Practice (PRIVATE WITH DRAGON)

The world fractured and it seemed like sun light from above Olympus was shining down upon the two as Anna kissed Dallas again, this time not ending it herself. He still heard the words she had said in his head. "You're my hero." Dallas had never been compared to a hero before and certainly never the hero of a girl even when Melody had been his girlfriend. Still this made him happy since he had spoke to Melody before she left and she had said to move on because it was time. He had been devastated at first but then the son of Hades had just given up on caring at all. Now he was beyond happy and Dallas knew that this was his moving on.

Time had seemed to end but later, after the kiss ended, Dallas would see that it had been two minutes long and he was shocked. Still before the kiss ended, the Apollo cabin door opened and a dark haired boy walked in with obvious goth clothing on. He took one look at Anna kissing Dallas and spun on his heel to walk back out. Dallas ended the kiss and smiled at Anna. Let me guess, that was Kodee just now? Dallas didn't really care and he was still shocked and light headed from the kiss anyhow.

Dallas chuckled and slid off of the bed while holding Anna's hand carefully. His fingers curled around hers and he pulled her up into his arms, into an embrace that every girl would envy. That kind of hug that made your heart stop beating only after it raced to a million miles per hour and beyond as well as made you nearly faint from shock. Dallas leaned his head down and tilted Anna's slightly to meet his lips as he breathed a sigh of relief. You know something, I don't care who that was. Just as long as I'm with you, I don't care if the world ends right now.

Dallas nodded glumly and kissed Anna quickly before saying good bye and walking outside. He knew that most people would be heading toward their cabins but there was one thing he wasn't expecting. Goth boy stood just outside the cabin with his hands in his pockets while he leaned up against the cabin. He immediately stood up and smirked at Dallas with a rather charming but very deadly grin. So Anna kissed you as well? Doesn't really surprise me honestly. Kodee glanced over at the group of people still talking about him and his announcement.

Dallas glared at the son of Thanatos and then gave a feral grin that meant if he ever talked about Anna like that again then he would kill him on the spot. Most people thought he was weak but a son of Hades was by far stronger than anyone else gave them credit for. Actually, Kodee, I kissed her and Anna is much too good for you anyhow. Talk about her like that again and you will find out just who Hades is. Oh and say hello to him when you get there since I don't want to go visit my father just yet. Dallas walked away with his eyes already adjusted to the twilight time that had approached.

----Morning has come----

Sunlight filtered in through the dusty windows that were actually clean but because of the cabin that was for Hades everything was dark and dusty. Dallas rolled out of his bunk and landed on his feet lightly before straightening up and grabbing his clothes from the trunk at the end of his bunk. He pulled them on and then slipped his light armor on over the clothing. Quickly he pulled a shield on to put on his back and grabbed his twin swords as well as the double bladed sword. He put both sheathes on his body and then combed his hair out of his face. The boy grabbed a hunting dagger and strapped it to his left thigh in case he would need it. Then he walked out of the cabin, grabbing a leather jacket on the way since it was getting colder in Camp because most of the campers wanted a cooler season.

Dallas walked outside and slipped his leather jacket on over his clothes, instantly feeling the warmth seep into his bones. With a shrug, Dallas made the steel studs shine in the light and instantly shoot out of the leather into the small two inch spikes on his shoulders. He pulled on his leather fingerless gloves and marveled in the feel of the material as it formed to his fists just to gleam in the light as thick Stygian Iron studs appeared on the gloves. He stretched his fingers and pulled a hat on, one that was flat billed and had a Volcom symbol on it. It covered his hair slightly but left it to where the locks hung down into his eyes. Quickly he brushed the hair out of his face and grabbed the hunting dagger from his sheathe as well as a large piece of wood that was about the size of his forearm.

The wood had obviously been a target of carving and now Dallas sat down to do just that again. He placed the dagger against the wood and slid the blade down several times until the wood was lighter and already taking a shape he hadn't noticed before. The son of Hades continued until the wood hunk was half of a figurine of his mother, a dark haired woman who had been about five feet and seven inches tall with smooth skin and thoughtful eyes that spoke of pain and heartache from years before. He looked at the figurine and set it down on the ground, his eyes damp from memories of her.

Armor gleaming and swords banging against his leg, Kodee walked out of the Thanatos cabin with his mind already made up about what he would do. All night long he had thought about how that boy had talked to him after he had seen Anna kissing the boy. Kodee wasn't one for being insulted and in his mind that was an insult beyond any he had heard before and now the boy was going to pay. The son of Thanatos looked around and saw the child of Hades sitting over by a tree with a strange carving. Kodee laughed and walked over there. Crying over a piece of wood? Now I know I can beat you senseless. You shouldn't have messed with me you punk demi god. With that, Kodee swung his fist toward the boy but missed.

Where Dallas had been only seconds before was now just an empty space of air that had a sword right next to it. Dallas stood at the other end of the sword with his face dark with anger and frustration. I told you not to mess with me, child of Thanatos. Say hello to Hades and your miserable excuse for a dad when I'm done with you. Just like that, Dallas swung his sword and drew the second one in the same motion. He watched as Kodee dodged the blades and chuckled.

Kodee stepped back and drew his own sword just in time to block the first sword and jump back from the second one. He hadn't expected such anger but now the son of Thanatos would not be deterred because the son of Hades had insulted him yet again. Kodee swung his blade and managed to get Dallas on the arm before slamming his other fist into the Hades brat's face. When Dallas fell, Kodee stepped forward and placed his blade at the boy's throat. Don't ever insult me again or I will kill you the next time.

Dallas shook his head in defeat just as Anna jumped down and landed next to him while glaring at Kodee who was ready to run him through with the sword at his throat. The son of Hades shrugged as Anna started demanding what was wrong with him and pointed at Kodee. I was sitting here not bothering anyone when psycho murder child here decided to attack me. If you want to blame anyone for this then blame him since he started the whole situation. Dallas stood there and waited for Anna to yell at Kodee like she had already done.

Kodee laughed cruelly and drew his other sword with his free hand just as his first sword was kicked aside. He wasn't going to let all of the blame be put on him when Dallas had already started this back when he kissed Anna. You know something Anna, a blade made for killing monsters can kill demi gods just as easily. Don't you think that means we were meant to kill each other? Before the girl could reply, Kodee continued to speak. I only attacked this moron because he thinks he knows everything and insulted me last night and then again just a couple minutes ago. If you have a problem with that then I will kill you first. Kodee twitched his sword blade but it was met with another weapon, one that was considerably heavier and meant for someone who had used weapons for many years. Kodee looked up and saw someone he had feared would be there but never actually thought about it much.

Don't threaten her for defending someone that she loves just because you are pissed that she has moved on from having a crush on you. Now drop your sword Dettkoden or I will beat you and take the weapon from you myself. Austin watched as Kodee sheathed his sword and then nodded and smiled at Anna before walking away, having done his good deed for the day.

Dallas glared at Kodee and then saw the look in Anna's eyes as she turned to talk to him but what really made him stop was the words she spoke about drowning herself. Immediately he wrapped his hands around hers and pulled her close to him while he made a small choking sound. Don't say you will drown yourself, please. I don't think I can handle that and I will swear to do my best to get along with everyone including assholes like Kodee there. Just never say you will drown yourself again. Dallas' eyes were filled with tears as he leaned close to Anna and kissed her softly to prove his point.

Kodee stared at Anna and Dallas before shaking his head in pure shock because he had definitely seen this before, but with him and Ashley. The son of Thanatos cleared his throat just loud enough to let them know he was still there. When Dallas stopped kissing Anna, Kodee smiled and held his hands up in surrender. I will try to get along with your boyfriend, Anna. Oh and I don't really want to see you bleeding on the ground again for kissing me so I'll pass on that. Talk to you later Anna, Dallas. Kodee walked away with his swords after he picked up the first one.

Dallas smiled and hugged Anna before speaking through the occasional chuckle. I wouldn't care if you smacked me, to be honest. Just as long as I can do this... The son of Hades leaned closer and kissed Anna softly while he waited for her to realize that he was already planning on how to get back at Kodee without a fight.

Dallas sat down while shaking his head and wondering how he had met such a crazy but beautiful girl. Quickly he pulled out the dagger and figurine again and started carving some more. Soon he would have the statue finished and he would be able to put it on his bed side table next to the statue of Hades.

Kodee walked by a couple trees and smiled as he realized that someone was walking behind him with the intention of catching up to him. He knew exactly who it was as well but the boy wouldn't bother with fighting with Anna unless she wanted to. Actually at the time he was looking for something to do so he could not be bored all day. Finally Kodee couldn't take it anymore so he turned around and waited for Anna to catch up. So why is it that you're following me? Let me guess, you just couldn't stay away from my hot body and now you know that you are secretly in love with me instead of that puny son of Hades.

Kodee shrugged. You wish I liked you. I mean come on, I already have the perfect girl and besides even if I didn't, I am way too good for you. If Anna wanted to play that game then he would play it as well but he certainly wasn't going to play fair in any way whatsoever. Kodee smirked at the girl and cocked an eyebrow just slightly as he let the dimple in his left cheek show. This was completely unfair but Kodee didn't really care at the moment. The son of Thanatos allowed the corner of his lip twitch up just slightly as he pulled the Greene family charm.

Besides, if I recall, everyone heard that you kissed me and enjoyed it. Besides, I am a Greene, and all Greene's are irresistibly handsome and charming. Kodee slowly stopped talking with a husky purr at the end of his sentence and a wink at the girl. He may be dating Ashley but this was way more fun than he would have ever given it thought to be.

Kodee shook his head as he realized that he had Anna beat in this argument if she had to go to the matter of threatening him with his girlfriend. The son of Thanatos flipped his dark hair and batted his eyes flirtatiously as he growled deep in his throat at the girl. He deepened his voice and raised his eyebrow just enough to really pull off the charm that every male Greene possessed. If only Austin could see him right now, which he could but Kodee didn't realize that. Kodee smirked at Anna again and spoke softly. Are you sure you want to turn down this hot offer. I won't always be here you know and right now I think you should just admit that I've got you nervous and ready to kiss me. As the last sentence grew closer to the end, Kodee lowered his voice more and closed his eyes half way.

Austin was sitting in the trees of the forest, just barely out of sight of the two kids as they talked but he could still see and hear them. As he watched, the son of Nike gasped and grinned from ear to ear. This was definitely a day to remember if his nephew was pulling the Greene family charm on his girlfriend's best friend.

Kodee felt the cool but painful and sharp slap of Anna's hand as she smacked him and then shoved him away and still he couldn't figure out what had happened. He blinked in confusion and then grinned evilly. In a blinding motion, the boy grabbed Anna and kissed her, not softly but not forcefully either. He moved away from Anna and slipped into the trees just as Austin dropped down onto the ground and stared at the girl who had just slapped his nephew. He was just as stunned as Kodee but not even Austin had kissed a girl after she had smacked him and screamed at him as well. You wanted to speak to me?

Austin laughed and nodded before watching Anna walk away in her anger and when she disappeared he looked up at Kodee. One day you will be as good as me with using that charm. I actually thought you were rather good just today but you can't win them all. Hell I was slapped many times just like you were this time but never did I kiss them right after that. The son of Nike walked over to the tree and stood there patiently. Maybe we should not tell Ashley about this though. I don't exactly want to scrape your body up off of the ground and clean up the blood. Still you should go find her and talk to her to make it known you love her. Talk to you later nephew. With that Austin disappeared again and made sure he wasn't followed this time.

Kodee, who had been sure he would be killed, nodded and stood up to start his running from branch to branch. As he neared the cabins, Kodee leapt and flipped in the air to land on the balls of his feet next to the Ares cabin. The son of Thanatos walked in the door and looked right at Ashley. Hey Ashley, how are you doing?
