Practice (PRIVATE WITH DRAGON)

Austin chuckled and looked at Taylor before he looked back at Rebecca. Why can't I get a kiss from Taylor?

Austin grinned evilly and let go of Rebecca just to grab Taylor. He dipped her over and kissed Taylor softly on the lips. Taylor, will you go out with me?

Modes howled and soon Dallas joined in.

Kodee saw Rebecca run up the stairs and he followed slowly with a worried look on his face. Finally he entered his room and pulled the little girl on his lap. What's wrong, why don't you want Austin to date Taylor?

Austin smiled and wrapped Taylor close to him in a hug.

Kodee smiled and kissed Rebecca on her forehead. I don't think Austin was trying to upset you but is it so bad that he wants to date the girl he has feelings for? I mean we're all here for you but it wouldn't be fair to ask him to not want to date Taylor.

Austin brushed Taylor's hair out of her face and grinned. Will you be at the concert tonight?

Kodee sighed and looked at Rebecca sadly as he thought about how to say what he was going to without making himself cry. Rebecca, I just lost my sister and my cousin in a fight back in New York before we came here. The only family I have left besides Thanatos is Austin and do you think I like him always falling over when Taylor is around? Yet I look at it this way, Dallas is like a brother to me now and that makes Anna like my sister. Ashley is my girlfriend and I know she loves me just as much as I love her if not more. Then there is you...you are like my little sister already and quite frankly, Rebecca, I wouldn't change any of that. Would I go back in time and save my sister who I grew up with since we were born? Hell yes I would but it doesn't stop me from accepting that there are things I just can't change.

Dallas looked over at the stairs and then at Ashley who was still where Kodee had been just a little bit ago until Rebecca had ran upstairs. Maybe you should go check on your boyfriend, Ashley.

Kodee stood up in shock and looked around carefully, using a military style search where he searched each "sector" of his room and then outside as well. One girl couldn't just disappear like that and leave no trace behind so he walked back inside and over to the window where she had just been. Kodee gazed out the window and then realized that she was a daughter of Demeter so she had probably used her powers. Finally Kodee couldn't take it anymore so he sat down and put his head in his hands. After losing Kat and Zephen he suddenly lost Rebecca who was like his sister as well. This was just not right for him to lose so much. In a fit of rage, Kodee drew his dagger and threw it at the wall above the door, watching the blade glint as it flew true at the wall. It embedded itself into the wall with a solid thud that resounded through the house like something heavy had fallen and Kodee stood up, slamming his fist into the wall right next to where the dagger had gone. He just couldn't take this at all, especially after almost dying himself last night as well.

Dallas looked up at the sound of a thud and then a slam which came from Kodee's room loudly. The boy jumped up and dashed up the stairs, already drawing his sword in one hand while he readied himself to shove someone back and slam the blade through their chest.

Kodee glanced over at the man, already his eyes were angry and darkening as his fists clenched and his mind cleared of all but the target, a man holding a knife to Ashley's throat. He growled and the blade which had been in the wall was suddenly flying end over end toward the man, impaling him in the hand that held the knife. As the knife dropped, Kodee ran forward and wrapped his fingers over the man's throat while he gave an evil grin. I didn't live in peace all my life, scum, and now you threaten two of the people who make my life peaceful? I will skin you and burn you while you still live for this and then when you scream in agony and beg for mercy then I will cut each finger that held that knife off and when I feel you have suffered enough then I will kill you, not out of mercy but out of my own boredom. Kodee twisted the dagger that pinned the man's hand to the wall and then squeezed his fingers tighter making him gag and start to turn blue in the face.

Dallas ran into the room and saw what was happening, while he also saw a large hole in one wall and a smaller dagger sized hole in the wall as well. A man was turning blue in Kodee's grip as a dagger was twisted in his palm until he screamed in agony. Dallas walked to Kodee and placed his hand on the boy's shoulder. Let him speak first so we at least know why he came here in the first place and why he made it to your room.

Kodee breathed slowly and deeply until finally he pulled the dagger from out of the wall and cleaned the blade, his eyes already their normal shade and his face no longer a dark shadow of anger. The son of Thanatos blinked carefully and then looked at Ashley in confusion since he couldn't remember much of anything that he had said much less why Rebecca had run out of the room. What did I just say and do to that man?

Dallas laughed and then pointed to the hole in the wall and then started laughing harder as he tried to control himself. Dude, that guy pissed himself at the thought of you actually doing what you said you would. His face was all like 'Oh shit who did I just mess with?' and all you could do was glare at him and make more threats with an evil grin on your face.

Kodee glanced over at Dallas and grinned before they both dashed out of the room, already concocting a seriously evil plan to enact on everyone in the house. Dallas ran to the kitchen where he grabbed the hose and then Kodee crept to the front door where he laid in waiting until Dallas had exited the side door and hooked up the hose. Suddenly the water went on at full pressure and Dallas laughed maniacally as Kodee busted out of the house and ran toward the girls. He dashed through the water, heading toward the three and...Kodee kissed Anna. Not even realizing what he'd done, since they were both identical, again, he continued the kiss and felt the water hitting them.

Austin saw the two running about the house with their obvious devious plot in action. Just as the water turned on and Kodee busted out of the door, Austin stood up with his hand wrapped around Taylor's. He knew that plans like this often backfired so Austin walked over to the front door with Taylor and watched as Kodee ran over and kissed one of the girls. He couldn't tell who it was but something wasn't right with the scene.

Kodee blinked and suddenly the prank had backfired on him, causing him extreme embarrassment. The son of Thanatos looked around and then dashed into the house, already heading toward his room and the roof. He made it up the stairs in record time, shoving past Austin and Taylor, and then skidded to a halt next to where the trapdoor was. Kodee pulled down the stairs and climbed up until he entered the room and then shut the door and locked it, sliding a heavy book shelf over it. Then he grabbed a pillow and a large comforter from his bed that he carried outside and onto the roof where he laid down on the chair. Kodee covered his head with the pillow and wrapped the comforter over his body while fresh tears rolled down his cheeks, tears not of sadness but of anger and embarrassment for having kissed Anna.

Austin was laughing as Kodee dashed by and before he could hit Taylor, Austin pulled her close to him and wrapped her in a hug. She wasn't going to be hurt by Kodee anytime soon. Austin picked Taylor up in his arms and walked to the chair where he sat down with her and then snuggled close to her. I think that plan failed epically.

Kodee blinked away tears as he listened to Anna talking about him kissing her and how she liked it even though if had been the wrong person. He moved the pillow and looked at her with red eyes and then shook his head because it wasn't right. It wasn't that that made me upset. I had intended to kiss Ashley and...and...it was wrong. Now Dallas is going to be upset at me for kissing you and all I can tell him is that I liked kissing you but it was meant to be Ashley who I kissed. That will just get me killed for just saying that I liked it. Kodee sat back and covered his head again and then actually began to hum a lullaby his mom had sang to him and Kat when they were younger.

Austin kissed Taylor softly on the cheek and then laughed quietly. Do you want to get outta here and go somewhere where we don't have to worry about failed plans and people kissing the wrong girls?

Kodee sniffled and then stopped humming just as an idea came to his mind but Dallas could never know about this or there would definitely be issues in the very near future. He stood up and looked at Anna, curiously trying to figure out exactly what he was going to do. Just then, Kodee stepped forward and kissed Anna, knowing exactly who it was and not caring. It was just as he thought. Kodee liked kissing Anna and it made him confused but instead of stopping, Kodee continued kissing Anna and let his mind go blank. He would deal with figuring everything out later.

Kodee pulled away from Anna slowly and blinked a few times before he shook his head in confusion. See...I liked the kiss even though I knew it was you and not Ashley. Anna...I don't know what's going on but you kiss really well. He kissed Anna again softly before he walked back down into his room and then out of the room again into the house, just to feel a fist connect with his jaw. Kodee crumpled and hit the ground unconscious with his eyes rolled into the back of his head.

Dallas had been walking toward the room when he heard a fist connect with flesh and he looked up to see a man dressed in black grab Kodee who was out cold and then he disappeared out of a window. The sound of a car starting echoed from the grounds outside and Dallas ran to the window just to see the man driving away with Kodee in the back seat.
