Practice (PRIVATE WITH DRAGON)

Dallas swore silently and dashed down the stairs, grabbing the keys to the fastest motorcycle they had at their disposal. When he got downstairs, Dallas busted out the door and hopped onto the bike, starting it in one go. The engine roared to life and he floored it, heading straight toward the car which had slowed down. Along the way, Dallas saw Anna and Ashley both running toward the car but he knew he would get there first. Dallas whistled shrilly and Flare shot down and landed next to the girls as he popped a wheelie and rode up next to the vehicle. Dallas rode forward further and spun sideways until he was stopped in front of the car.

With screeching tires, the car stopped and out of the driver's seat stepped a man who was dressed in black and holding a pistol at the ready. Without waiting for a single word to be said, Dallas ran forward and cut the man down with a well placed chop to the back of the head that knocked the man out and left him unconscious. Dallas pulled Kodee out of the car and drug him to the motorcycle which they both rode back to the house. Do you realize that I don't care if Kodee kissed Anna or if Anna kissed Kodee? Kodee is ten years old and confused already by the accidental kiss so it isn't like he actually enjoyed it anyhow.

Kodee blinked his eyes open and spoke in a cracked voice that he could hardly make say anything at all. I did like it though...a lot. And that is what confuses me the most because I know I love Ashley but I like kissing Anna. That is what confuses me and it is hard to explain anyhow.

Kodee climbed the stairs with a sore head and then walked to his room, hearing the argument between Ashley and Anna. When Ashley walked away from Anna's door, he climbed down from his room and into the window of Anna's room, slipping a few times from his dizziness. Do you realize that this makes me feel guilty? Anna there is one thing I have to say right now. If things had been different and I had asked you out first then there would be doubt in my mind that I would have kissed Ashley as well. It is just fate saying that I can't be without fault. Now please walk with me to go talk to Ashley and Dallas.

Kodee sighed and shook his head in frustration. Quickly checking to make sure she had no weapons on her that were visible, Kodee walked over and lifted Anna's chin to look at him. In a split second, Kodee kissed Anna softly but persistently. Maybe if she was upset for kissing him then a kiss would fix it (totally backwards reasoning) and that would make this all so much easier.

Kodee sighed slightly as Anna pulled away from him and began to walk back and forth across the room. Just then she stopped and seemed to think carefully about what to do, right before Anna walked over to him and kissed him back. It was confusing at best to say that he liked kissing Anna but now he was even more confused because he realized that even though he had tried to kill her, Kodee still had feelings for Anna. This was one by the book love triangle here and yet all Kodee could think was how Anna's skin was so soft as he grabbed her arms and dragged her over to her bed. He wrapped his arms around her neck and pulled her down with him as he fell onto the bed, feeling her hair fall about his face in a soft curtain. Kodee didn't care at all what was going to happen because all he could do was think that this was really what felt right to him and if Dallas was upset about it then so be it.

Dallas grinned as he realized what was going on upstairs when he heard the soft thump of two bodies hitting a bed in Anna's room. They had started kissing and strangely enough, Dallas felt like he had known what Kodee felt about his girlfriend and it didn't bother him at all. Yes he wished that Kodee wouldn't be so obvious about his love for Anna but it was only fair for him to accept that his friend was in love with Anna. Dallas sat down and started to twirl a piece of thread around his fingers while he waited for something interesting to happen.

Kodee blinked and then laughed softly as he brushed Anna's hair out of her face with unfaltering movements that were soft and caring. I love you, Anna...but I also love Ashley. What are we supposed to do about this? He breathed in the sweet scent of Anna, roses and mountain springs, as he tried to figure out what was going to happen.

Dallas shook his head as he tried to think of a way to tell Ashley the real reason why he wasn't going to do anything about this. I don't say that I expected this at all but I just know that it is confusing and that they both love each other. Yet I also know that Kodee loves you from the way he looks at you every time he sees you. That kiss outside in the water just happened to be what made them realize their feelings towards each other.

Austin grinned and then stood up while he looked up the stairs and then walked slowly upstairs. Maybe this was a Greene trait but it wasn't fair for Kodee to hurt Ashley like that. When he made it to the door that was Anna's room, he knocked on the door and waited before he finally spoke. You two should really come downstairs and if you want to continue your kiss fest then do it down there where everyone can see.

Austin walked into the room after Anna left and saw the confusion and pain cross Kodee's face as he sat there and started to cry because he was in so much pain. The older boy sat down and looked at his nephew with a sad gaze as he tried to figure out to say the best. Finally he handed Kodee a tissue and then spoke softly and comfortingly. Anna really does care for you, you know. I guess that if you love her too then go with your heart but just know that Anna is beautiful and so is Ashley. Still go to Anna and tell her the truth... Austin stood up and walked out of the room, leaving behind the guitar which he had apparently carried up with him without realizing it. If Kodee did what he expected then it would be funny and would show just how much he really did care for the girls.

Kodee sat there as he tried to figure out what to do or how to tell either of the girls the truth. Slowly he looked at the guitar and then thought about a song that had played on the radio while he sat in his room listening to random stations. Kodee stood up and strummed a few times until he realized he could play the song easily. The boy walked down the stairs, playing the song, I Think About You by Ross Lynch, while he looked at Anna with a smile on his face. Quickly he began to sing, the lyrics flowing from his lips and deeper his heart. For some reason this felt better than singing to Ashley who was still going to be in his heart but Kodee felt a stronger love for Anna.

Dallas was sitting on the couch when Anna walked down the stairs with her head down and obviously in a confused state so he didn't say anything and went back to twirling a piece of thread. Just then the sound of a guitar struck his ears and he looked up just as Kodee looked right at Anna and started singing to her with his eyes shining and a smile on his face. It wasn't until Anna pulled him into a kiss that Dallas' jaw dropped and he realized exactly what was happening in front of him. Kodee had just walked down stairs with his guitar and was singing to Anna saying that he loved her and wanted to be with her. Dallas shrugged and pulled on the thread until it snapped, then he stood up and walked out of the room with his head down and his mind racing. Yes he was still in love with Anna but it was obvious that she loved Kodee and Dallas was willing to accept that his friend was in love with her too.

Kodee grinned and kissed Anna softly, wrapping his arms around her and holding her close as he ignored the people in the room all staring at them. Austin was smiling and nodding while Dallas shrugged and walked out of the room. Obviously he was willing to move past the fact that Kodee had just stolen Anna's heart and be supportive but at the moment all Kodee cared about was the kiss. When the kiss ended, Kodee looked at Ashley and his eyes fell to the ground. I'm...I'm sorry Ashley, I still have feelings for you but I love Anna and those feelings are stronger. Please don't get mad at either of us and just be supportive.

Kodee watched as Anna walked after Dallas but he didn't mind because she was still his girlfriend and that was all that mattered so that she could deal with his hurt feelings. He waited and then looked at Ashley with a half smile that crossed his lips briefly. Thank you for understanding. I was afraid you would be upset and try to kill us both. Kodee swallowed nervously and then walked over to Ashley and hugged her before he walked away and sat down with his head in his hands. He was upset that he couldn't be normal and just like one person. No instead he was in love with Anna and Ashley both but he loved Anna more and that made it difficult to think. Without knowing it he started singing Boyfriend by Justin Bieber out of boredom.

Dallas walked to the side door and out into the air that hit his warm face as he looked out at the sky with his mind spinning and his heart aching to figure out what he was supposed to do. Kodee was his best friend and Anna was technically still his girlfriend but Kodee and Anna were in love with each other and he wanted them to be happy even if it meant he had to sacrifice his own happiness for that to happen. As Dallas thought about it, he reached out and grabbed the house, starting to climb up the wall. The house was a good three stories high and then there was the ledge at the roof but he didn't care.

Wind screamed in his ears and Dallas could hear his conversations with Melody before they had broke up because she left Camp. There had been entire days he would feel like shit and she was the only person who could calm him down and make him feel better. Now that she was gone he had found Anna and she made him feel the same way but he never thought he would have to deal with his friend doing this to him. Dallas blinked away a few tears and then heard Anna walk outside looking for him so Dallas let go of the house and pushed off with his feet, starting a back flip. Halfway through he altered his course and tucked into a roll that kept him from breaking bones. Dallas stood up and looked at Anna just as his mind screamed at him to step away from her. Instead of doing what he should, Dallas grabbed Anna and kissed her, not even caring what the repercussions would be.

Dallas blinked in shock and then Flare was next to him in a heartbeat, almost like the Pegasus could read his mind. He sat astride the creature and Flare took off at a full gallop after Anna, stopping right next to her as Dallas sprung from atop her. I'm not jealous of you and Kodee. No I accept that you two are in love and that kiss...it was stupid but it was a good bye kiss. I came on this trip because of you, Anna and if you want to be with Kodee then that is what I will let happen. I...I...won't say that I don't still have feelings for you but they aren't jealousy. Please don't hurt Kodee like this, Anna. Dallas looked at Anna pleadingly and then walked away, leaving behind Flare who whinnied and pawed the ground.

Austin chuckled as Dallas walked into the house with his eyes downcast while he looked guilty about something and then walked over to Kodee. Dallas whispered something to Kodee and the younger boy shrugged before turning to Ashley and kissing her. Apparently Anna had gotten frustrated with them and now wanted nothing to do with them. Still he could see the slight sadness in Kodee's eyes as he turned and walked away from everyone. Just then Anna ran in and asked Austin if he was ready to go. He stood up and nodded before he grabbed his guitar and the keys. I was ready to go awhile back but then this whole thing with those two knuckleheads happened and now apparently something else is happening. Austin glanced at Taylor and shrugged. Are you coming with us or do you have someone who will be taking you? He hoped that she would be going with them so that he could sit with her until it was time to play.

Austin laughed and picked Taylor up in his arms carefully. Well then, my dear Taylor, off we go to the concert. The son of Nike walked outside, carrying Taylor in his arms while his guitar was over his shoulder.

When everyone left aside from Kodee, Dallas, and Ashley, Kodee walked over to Ashley and smiled as he wrapped his arms around her. He didn't even hesitate before he kissed her and then the next thing he knew his mind had faded to black and he passed out, landing in the chair, still in shock from everything that had happened and not even realizing that he'd been injured more than he thought from that blow to the head. It would take awhile for him to fully recover and wake up after everything that had happened that day.

Austin laughed and shook his head quickly as he tried to form words to say what he was trying to do. Nope, Romeo killed himself because of stupidity. I'm more inclined to say I'm Casanova than any other sappy moron with a crush. Austin tossed Anna the keys and winked at her before he pulled Taylor into the back seat and shut the door, quickly kissing her and wrapping his arms around her tighter.
