Just Being in New York

Annabeth slashed through a few more dracanae, as she noticed Percy doing as well. He slashed through the last one and after this she turned and gaped as the boy played in the monster dust, grimacing and trying not to gag. She still had a cold, unpleasant feeling in her stomach from the Odyne child's power, and she tried to prevent it from bothering her. The whole situation perturbed her quite a bit, and she stepped away from the situation and brushed herself off. Luckily, she didn't really get hurt, maybe a few scratches, but nothing serious. She looked up, hearing Percy talk. "We probably should.." she muttered, moving towards Percy, her mood dampened by the turn of events. She had wanted to have a nice night, and she did have fun, even though the monsters... and those warped demigods... came along and ruined their dinner. "You're okay, right?" she asked, just making sure, when she made it across the street to him.

[color#330000]Pearce groaned in his semi-conscious state. He looked over to Ronnie and said, "Quite acting like a little kid and help me back to camp." He then turned to the other two and said, "Hey Blondy, I'll be coming back for my dagger." He then lost his grasp on reality and fainted.[/color]

I looked up as I heard Pearce's voice, and my eyes widened in shock as he faint. I hopped up off the ground, not taking the time to wipe off the monster dust off of my back, and went over to Pearce. I slowly helped him up and tried to keep him balanced on his feet, he was pretty heavy and hard to carry.

Percy looked to Annabeth. "Yeah, all clear. You?" He asked, snapping Riptide back into its pen form and putting it in his pocket. Having a fast instinct, Percy caught the boy before he hit the floor, standing him up. "What's your names?" He asks, studing their faces for a few seconds before slipping the one boys knife into his knife holder.

Annabeth nodded, sheathing her dagger and watching the boys. She was tired, and felt off from the Odyne kid's power, so she didn't say much, just remained at Percy's side, which was a bit odd for her. She wondered how some demigods turned out so... bad, while most of them turned out the way they were meant to: heroic, loyal, and motivated.

I looked at the one guy who had decided to help me with holding up Pearce. I made a small smile at him, he was being a lot nicer than his grumpy lady friend behind him. I answered his question of what my name was with, "Oh my name is Ronald, but I don't like having the same name as a scary clown so I'd prefer Ronnie. And this," I said lifting up Pearce's head a little to show to the guy, "Is my buddy Pearce." I glanced at the guy once more and tilted my head with a little curiousity, "So what's you and your grumpy friend's names?" I asked innocently.

Annabeth frowned, not feeling like speaking with him. "I'm Annabeth, thank you very much, and I was having a very nice evening, not grumpy at all, until all of these dracanae showed up and your friend managed to zap me with his... power," she shivered slightly, crossing her arms over her chest. She didn't introduce Percy, because he could obviously do that himself, and she personally hated when people spoke for her.

Percy took note of the tone in her voice. "And.. uh.. Im Percy" He said, steadying the boy. "Well, Ronnie, Pearce, it would be best if you guys got back to camp too."

"Yeah I guess we will get back to camp!" I replied, a grin on my face. "Could you help us find a way back? I'll behave as long as Grumpy Lady doesn't yell at me again..."

Percy shrugged. "I could give you a ride" He said, looking back at Annabeth for approval.

Annabeth's eyes widened almost imperceptibly. Noooo, her brain protested. She did not want to travel all the way back to New York with crazy and crazier, but then again she couldn't see how they could leave the two in the middle of the city. She sighed, figuring she would be happy when they finally made it back to camp. "Sure, whatever. Let's just go," she stated, too tired to care at this point.

I made a great big smile and replied, "Thanks Percy, thanks Grumpy Lady." I then hoisted Pearce up a little more so I wouldn't drop him, wouldn't want that happening now would we!

Percy gave Annabeth a puppy dog look, and smiled when she gave in. "Okay, follow us" He said helping Ronnie hold up Pearce, on the way back to the parking garage.

"Dear Zeus, I'm not that impossible, am I?" she murmured aloud at Percy's pathetic looking puppy dog face, which actually got her to laugh. This ride was going to be interesting.. hopefully uneventful. They arrived at the parking garage, and Annabeth glanced from the stairs to the elevator. "I think we'll be taking the elevator this time," she stated, looking pointedly at Pearce.

I followed Percy and Grumpy Lady to a parking garage when we stopped at the elevator. I shrugged at Grumpy's statement and said, "Elevators fine..."

Percy snickered, and pressed the elevator button. "Yeah, unless you want to carry this kid up the stairs" He smirked.

Annabeth got into the elevator when the doors opened, holding her hand by the door so it wouldn't close on the other three of them. Her head ached horribly after that crazy kid's crazy power, and she regretted not having the sense to get away from there when he had told her to. She blinked in the bright light of the elevator. Wonderful.

Percy walked into the Elevator and waited. "You okay?" He asked Annabeth noticing her unusual grimace. When they reahed the top, Percy started to walk to the car. He pulled out his key and unlocked the doors.

I walked into the elevator as well and waited patiently, holding Pearce gingerly. when the doors opened I continued walked with Percy.

Annabeth continued walking alongside Percy as they made their way to the car. He expressed concern, and she shrugged, noncommittal. "I'm fine," she insisted. "My head hurts a bit, but otherwise I'm okay. Tired, I suppose." She got into the passenger seat of the Ferrari, sinking down into the leather interior. At least she could ride home in luxury, so long as nothing else decided to attack them. She chuckled to herself at the absurdity of their whole trip. She guessed she'd had fun, at least, before the other demigods ransacked the place and all the dracanae showed up.

Percy opened the back seat door, and shifted Pearce into the seat. "Get in." He smiled at Ronnie, spinning the keys around his fingers, and got into the drivers seat. The engine raored to life and Percy but his seatbelt on. "Ready?" He asked, adjusting the rearview mirror.

I gently put Pearce inside the car and then I myself entered the car. I didn't put on a seat belt, but I waited patiently for Percy to start driving.

Annabeth pulled her seat belt on, hoping she wouldn't need it and that their ride home would be uneventful. "Ready, I suppose," she replied because Ronnie didn't, propping her head up on her arm while rested on the arm rest/compartment between the two front seats, exhausted and thinking about their night. ((Bahaha I really don't know what to call that.)) She spoke. "Well, thanks for keeping me from going nuts in my cabin all night," she chuckled, contemplating what she'd do to finish off the temple for a moment. Water... wait. She grinned. She had an idea. She knew what the temple needed... how had she not seen it before? Water. More water. Duh.
